I can understand the appeal of Larry the Cable Guy because he hits a funny bone with the average, stay at home American with his funny insights into everyday life. His latest comedy special was filmed at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet, Illinois, and is currently available on Netflix as I write this. I've seen him in funnier form in the past, especially when he's with buddies like Jeff Foxworthy and Ron White to bounce stories off of. Here he's expounding on grocery stores and Wal-Mart in particular, with poignant observations punctuated by 'daggum' and 'holy smokes' at least a dozen times each which gets to be rather repetitious if not tedious. No fashion plate, Larry saunters back and forth across the stage in his sleeveless flannel shirt, none too concerned about his size and weight, but with camera views of the audience you'll notice folks even bigger than he is, and not just the men! In case you've forgotten, Larry reminds us at the end of the show that he voiced the character of Mater the Tow Truck in the "Cars" movie franchise, a gig he got entirely by accident but which he's pretty fond of. If you haven't see him before, tune into this stand-up special to see Larry Git-R-Done.

We weren't sure if the audience members were laughing or were mouth-breathers. Totally lack-luster material.
