Nothing about this makes sense.
cjgmusic19 October 2021
The 2nd review was spot on. I wanted to like this one much like other Breaking Glass movies, but this was just frenetic and disjointed.

The characters were at one second yelling and the next second, literally, calm and normal. The parents didn't make any sense, their emotions are upside down when it comes to their own children.

The bully is so obviously what he's accusing the victims of? His 'gf' ... knows? The pacing is uneven, the emotions are opposite of what they should be, and the writing just seems like they wrote a script from a brainstorming session on what gay kids experience.

The whole movie is just unbelievable and truly over the top in the bad way. Just cringe-y all around.

disappointed 😕

I really wanted to like this movie ... in fact I live for these kinds of movies ... but it was impossible. First, the Romeo and Juliet comparison is not accurate at all. Second, the movie is full of bad and over the top acting. And third the plot, character motivations and actions doesn't make sense at all... it's all a big mess. I'm sad to say this, but dont waste your time with this movie.

Follow the Rabbit
cbryanmurals-8119218 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Who ever directed the party scene must not have never been to a party. They each got their own joint the size of a cigarette . Where were the Mom's pills. Why were they not passing them out? This movie could've been about three gay ,30 year old, high school students, who ran away from home and spent the weekend partying at a cabin in the woods rolling on molly and experimenting with group sex. Instead it was all over the place. They made a gay guy wear overalls....and he was bullied about drawing. Really? His bully was the smallest in the cast at 5'5" and 135lbs. He did intimidate the 6 " 200 pound country boy who had a gun. The casting of the rabbit was Excellent!!! We would not have seen as much of the rabbit had any of the people on this movie ever used a shotgun. The pellets spray and would have peppered that little bunny.

Terrible acting
laduqesa1 November 2021
I got fifteen minutes in and gave up. I don't think I have ever seen such dreadful and unconvincing acting. Do these people actually have membership of the acting union? If so, they should hand their cards back in right now. There wasn't a single character in the first fifteen minutes whose actor portraying him or her was realistic at all.

It's a nasty, spiteful film full of unpleasant characters. Even the gay people shown were not particularly sympathetic. Either bullies, whiny, closeted, they did not make a satisfying backdrop to the film at all.

Please don't waste your money on this cheapo production.

Romeo and Juliet? Nope!
gerrywest4 September 2022
This movie is terrible. So many scenes don't make any sense. The motivations of the characters are unclear, the acting is embarrassing and the plot line is very confusing. We started laughing at it and forced ourselves to watch it up to when the last rabbit was shot (don't ask why the poor white bunnies seem to attract guys with guns). This may sound picky, but it's shot in Canada in the winter and no one wears gloves outdoors. Throughout you are asking why did he/she say that, what are they doing, how did that guy get there.

One of the main characters tries to commit suicide at the beginning of the movie by kicking a hole in an ice-covered pond, planning on drowning in the ice-cold water. Bad plan and a very awkward scene when his friend tries to save him. It was all downhill from there.

No connection to the Shakespeare play whatever. Find another movie.

Confusing and Cringey
ChicagoMan4128 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
From the first scene, I was confused. A very effeminate, dainty guy who is obviously gay is bullying another guy for being gay. Dainty guy's girlfriend joins in on the bullying and then expects dainty guy to kiss her and he obviously doesn't want to...because he is obviously gay. Then another gay guy enters the picture and this one is fat. Yet they all keep calling one of skinny ones fat. Then 2 of them end up in a cottage out in the woods in winter with no heat but fully stocked with food yet they are out shooting rabbits to eat. What does it all mean? I didn't stick around very long to find out.

Wanted to like it but so confusing
heynowbjs5 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I kept feeling like I missed a sometime that would have made the current scene make sense. The bully character doesn't make sense, it felt as tight they cut important scenes out of the movie and taped what they had left back together without watching it. The actors seen to do alright. It's strange how the main characters go to school together yet have no idea who they are, when its apparent they live in a small community where everyone probably knows everyone. The parents are written even worse than the kids, the mom on a 911 call about her son, had no idea where that came from or how she got there.

Yeah it dragged...but the ending!
wayaut15 October 2021
The ending spoke a trillion words all at once. This movie did something Ive never seen done before but you have to pay attention and see the characters for thier obviosities not "over the top" comparison. This movie hit home. It rang of realism. Build to climax.

This film doesn't reflect the IMDB score and here's why.

The unusual love story always hits a little different if you've experienced it at least once in your life. There were certain parts of this film that made me think of that special someone which made this film that much better. Overall, the Director did a really good job with the vision with an addition of a good cast and solid editing I would give it an eight on the originality mean in a 10 for making a tap in to the feels. This is one of those movies that I would definitely recommend on a date night or one of those nights where you just eat in a tub ice cream alone in the living room, the Director and crew did an amazing job with this final product.
