This program was one of the most entertaining and endearing animal shows I have ever seen, and this viewer characteristically doesn't enjoy animal shows. Dave Salmoni is a pro with the cats, and although the whole concept of acclimating animals born and raised in captivity into the wild is not new, Salmoni presents the subject with expertise, and in a very entertaining way, disproving some previously held beliefs of what can and what cannot be done in this area. The cats have clearly been well cared for, and teaching them to act on their instincts in their natural habitat might be a difficult task, but Salmoni talks us through the process step-by-step. One can only wonder what additional footage could have been kept in this production that had to be edited out due to time constraints; the show left me wanting to see more. His care and affection for these absolutely beautiful felines draws the viewer in to sharing his love for them. Salmoni's narration is articulate and clear, the concept of the show is honorable, and who wouldn't love to have the expertise and opportunity to play with these big kitties?
