I only loved this film because this film is brave and courageous. Also, The Hill Where Lionesses Roar tells a story of being liberated, which can be appreciated.
I did not expect this film to end up like this. I thought it was an adventure (albeit it is!) film with lots of coming-of-age things. But this film tried to debunk our oppressive societal barriers and defamation. I loved the part when a character stood up against her family member's unjustified attitudes. This movie executed the societal perspective about women so well that individuals from every corner of the world could relate. This all-women film is also a good thriller. The Hill Where Lionesses Roar might not be the best movie around you about women's liberation, however, this film is an important piece of work that deserves recognition.
