Sex & Nudity

- There's no full female nudity in the movie. Angel's hair and arms are often strategically placed to hide her nipples. In several scenes, she has simple implied nudity. We do see her breasts slightly from the side on one or two occasions but nothing overly graphic.
- The prostitutes in the brothel show cleavage and wear short undergarments with stockings and garters.
- Several implied sex scenes between a prostitute and her clients, but nothing is ever graphically shown
- While it is implied Angel is nude she is only seen from the back and waist up.
- Angel and Michael have sex on top of a mountain, fully clothed. She is seen straddling him and thrusting. No nudity.
- This movie was very steamy, while not graphic in terms of nudity, it was sensual. There were two sex scenes. A lot of sounds, facial expressions, movements that left very little up the imagination.
- There is no "technical" nudity in this film (nipples showing), but the film leaves little to the imagination when it comes to Angel's body.
Violence & Gore

- Angel is threatened with rape but instead the man beats her brutally. We see the man punch Angel, knocking her to the ground. We also see a drawer shaking violently as we hear the punches and Angel mockingly laughing at the man, as he beats her. We later see that both her eyes are swollen nearly shut and she's clearly hurt badly. She is also submerged and held under water by her brutal bodyguard.
- A man is strangled to death and also stabbed in front of a little girl
- A young woman is beaten and robbed by two other women who leave her bloodied and unconscious on the ground
- A mistress is slapped by her lover and her little girl hears him beating her from outside
- A prostitute is killed after helping another prostitute escape her pimp

- There is some drinking and smoking. Mostly in the brothel. Angel does get drunk on one occasion, but overall the use of alcohol and smoking was fairly mild.

Sex & Nudity
- Towards the end of the film, Angel is recaptured by the man who raped her as a child. She is locked in a room and hears the pedophile sexually assaulting another little girl who can only be eight or ten years old. We hear the child scream and pleading while he ruthlessly abuses her. Even though nothing is shown graphically, his scene can be disturbing.
- After being thrown out by her lover, a mistress begins selling herself into prostitution so she and her daughter can survive. Nothing graphically shown, all scenes are strongly implied.
- A young woman who was sold into prostitution sleeps with her own father who doesn't recognize her as revenge for him throwing her and her mother out when she was a child.
- A man implies he wants sex as payment for giving his brother-in-law's wife a ride into town. Sex happens off screen, but it's obvious she goes through with the act as he reappears from the woods moments later buttoning his pants and she's heard/seen throwing up.
- There are two sex scenes between a married couple, each lasting a few minutes. Both times they're clothed or only shoulders are seen, but there's thrusting and sighing.
- The Duke is a pedophile who enjoys raping little girls as young as eight, and selling them to prostitution.
Violence & Gore
- A young woman is forced to have an abortion and is operated on against her will to ensure she can never get pregnant again. While the act isn't shown, we do see her be thrown onto the bed and held down while she screams and begs the doctor not to perform the operation.
- Near the end of the film, Angel reveals to a group of men and women in a brothel that her rapist had been raping little girls for years and has two little girls held captive in that very establishment. Once she proves it, a mob forms and the pedophile is attacked and hung outside the establishment. We see him hanging from the balcony, dead.
- Angel is confronted by the Duchess after refusing services to a client. After the confrontation, the Duchess slaps Angel hard across the face and orders her to go through with the services.
- Earlier in the film, Angel is drunk and needs to be sobered up to work. After sass mouthing the man sent to sober her, he forces her into the tub and holds her head under water twice. The duchess walks in just as he is about to begin beating her.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Duke comes to the house in the night where Angel is sleeping. Generally scary scene although it is just a nightmare.
