In the warehouse-huge back room of his company Return Home, just south of Seattle, Micah Truman walks over to what looks like an off-white shipping crate, complete with a lock on the front. “Put your hand onto it,” instructs Truman, who, with his woodsy vest and tidy appearance, looks like a genial banker on a hiking tour.

JoBlo.com recently launched a new weekly documentary series called 80s Horror Memories, where each year of the 1980s has five episodes dedicated to it. Looking back at 1980, we discussed Maniac, Dressed to Kill, Alligator, Friday the 13th, The Shining, Prom Night, and The Fog. The second five episodes were a journey through 1981, covering The Funhouse, The Burning, Friday the 13th Part 2, My Bloody Valentine, Halloween II, The Evil Dead, The Howling, and An American Werewolf in London, as well as the careers of horror hosts Elvira and Joe Bob Briggs. The next five were, of course, all about movies that came out in 1982: Conan the Barbarian, The Thing, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, and Poltergeist, with an examination of the short-lived 3-D boom along the way. For 1983, we talked about a trio of Stephen King adaptations, Jaws 3-D, Sleepaway Camp, the rise of TV horror anthologies, and Psycho II.

‘The Acolyte’ is the first live-action series set in the High Republic era and the second overall (after ‘Young Jedi Adventures’). Headland, a longtime Star Wars fan since her teens, eagerly seized the opportunity to contribute something fresh and distinct to the franchise. She described ‘Acolyte’ as a blend of ‘Frozen’ and ‘Kill Bill’, drawing inspiration from Wuxia films and Samurai action.
The trailer hinted at these influences, with Headland emphasizing that ‘Acolyte’ will showcase Jedi outnumbering Sith for the first time in Star Wars history.
In her recent interview with Empire Magazine, Headland described her motivation to tell a story from the perspective of the antagonists.
I was driven to write a story that essentially was from the perspective of the bad guys. I write that way with my other work. I am always attracted to amoral – or immoral – characters, and finding the humanity within the villains

Helldivers 2 is far from boring with the game’s stressful nature and chaotic combat and the players have gotten quite confident to the point where they are now challenging Joel, the overseeing Game Master, to crank up the heat and increase the difficulty.
While this may seem like an unwise move and an invitation for Arrowhead Game Studios to flatten the community, it is the perfect opportunity for Joel to show whose side he is on.
Helldivers 2 Players Are Taunting Joel For More Carnage
Helldivers 2 players are now ready for more difficult challenges.
Joel has made quite a name for themselves in recent weeks with his mischievous acts of turning the war effort into their playground and hampering the player’s progression to victory. It would seem the community has finally learned to adapt and embrace the difficult nature of the game and even takes satisfaction from it which prompted them to ask for more.

Master Chef Judge Kunal Kapur Granted Divorce After Wife Made Wild Allegations ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Celebrity Chef Kunal Kapur, who is a regular guest on the cooking reality show Master Chef and also judged it for two seasons, has been granted divorce after being denied one in the lower court. Kunal appealed for divorce in a family court, which did not pass the judgment in his favor, and he challenged the court’s decision in the Delhi High Court.
In his plea, Kunal mentioned that his wife has been humiliating him in public and regularly disrespecting his parents. The judgment was passed after the hearing of both parties.
The divorce was granted to Kunal Kapur on the grounds of cruelty and humiliation. The bench, in their judgment, said, “We find that the conduct of the respondent (wife) towards the appellant (husband) has been such that it is devoid of dignity and empathy towards him.

Helldivers 2 is an incredibly successful third-person sci-fi action game. Arrowhead Game Studios has really given this game its all in order to make it as successful as it is. Besides working hard on developing it, they are also constantly on top of every issue that this game might face, and they continuously fix these issues to keep the experience of their fans smooth.
But to some fans of the game, the technical issues and bugs are not an issue. For them, the problem arises from the fact that this game is only on the PlayStation 5 and PC. People have been constantly asking Arrowhead Game Studios to release an Xbox version of this game. But there has not been an announcement as of yet. But despite this silence, fans of the games have finally hit a very unusual landmark.

For the first time in nearly a decade, Kung Fu Panda is back on screen with the fourth installment of the series. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston is also back to reprise his role in the franchise as Po’s biological father, Li.
Cranston is one of the most versatile actors around, and his genius extends to voice acting as well. In addition to impressing the audience with his charisma on screen, he has also breathed life into characters through his voice alone.
Li is just one of the many characters that Cranston has voiced in his career. And yet, this role could not possibly be any farther from his Emmy Award-winning turn as Walter White in the AMC crime drama Breaking Bad. Unsurprisingly, between the two characters, Cranston certainly had a lot more fun as Po’s father.

It's heartbreaking to think of all the movies that never made it to the screen. We keep hearing stories of projects collecting dust, incomplete due to unexpected tragedy, or a lack of funds, or a greedy studio executive cutting corners for tax purposes. But every now and then, a long-dead film is exhumed from the grave and is given new life to be enjoyed by a new generation of fans. Case in point: The Primevals, a fantasy adventure more than 50 years in the making that finally got to celebrate its world premiere at this year's Fantasia Film Festival.
The Primevals was first conceived in 1967 by stop motion animator David Allen, whose credits include the adult parody Flesh Gordon, Larry Cohen's Q – the Winged Serpent, and Alex Winter's Freaked. For more than a decade, an early draft of the script was shopped around to various studios, until 1978 when...

Blumhouse Productions, Morgan Creek Entertainment, and director David Gordon Green are teaming up to make a new trilogy of The Exorcist sequels for Universal and Peacock, starting with The Exorcist: Believer – which is scheduled to reach theatres on October 13th. Four months out from that release date, Blumhouse has unveiled a behind-the-scenes image of Green on the set of The Exorcist: Believer, and also released a quick video update from Green. You can check those out at the bottom of this article.
Universal and Peacock forked over an amount somewhere in the range of $400 million to acquire the rights to distribute this trilogy. Green previously directed a trilogy of Halloween sequels. In the very first Video Zone (the behind-the-scenes featurette attached to most of Full Moon’s films throughout the ‘90s) that played after the end credits rolled on Puppet Master II, Charles Band likened the independent studio’s movies to comic books. He said that he hoped to create franchises out of many if not all of them, to follow along with the various adventures from movie-to-movie, to even pair up and cross over certain characters. The comparison was made very early on in Full Moon’s run; this was barely over a year after the release of Puppet Master, which had been the company’s debut feature. Yet it proved to be more true than any fan at the time could have imagined.
Many of those series continue to this day, many of them have had crossovers—whether it be title fights like Dollman vs. Demonic Toys, Gingerdead Man vs.

So we’re urging you to give at least some of these films a chance. Starting with the very first Puppet Master (watch it Here)… which may be...

Black Knight is a South Korean series written and directed by Choi Ui-seok. It stars Kim Woo-bin.
Black Knight is a great South Korean series, this time in the apocalyptic sense of the story, gathering all the experience of the industry that, since Train to Busan, has given such good results.
Black Knight (2023-)
Black Knight is full of intrigue and subplots, but the action scenes are the queens of the show, standing out in rhythm and giving agility to each episode, which splashes with fights, chases, car races and so on.
Above all, it stands out in its outdoor setting, with a Korea turned into a desert, and it resorts to brutal photographic contrast.
A production with quality and with clear ideas of what it wants and, above all, with the well-learnt lesson of what works for the public. It knows how to play its cards and give in...

"The Clone Wars" is one of the best things to ever happen to "Star Wars." It reinvigorated the franchise and introduced the galaxy far, far away to a whole new generation, but it also improved what was already on the screen, fleshing out characters and stories and expanding their scope. Anakin suddenly became the tragic figure he was originally meant to be, the hero we were led to believe he was. Meanwhile, the Clone Troopers became distinct characters with different personalities. The show even filled in plot holes and expanded the lore in fascinating ways, like the Ghost of Mortis arc or bringing Darth Maul back from the dead.
Arguably the biggest contribution "The Clone Wars" gave the franchise at large was the character of Ahsoka Tano. First introduced as Anakin's padawan, she grew from a rash, precocious kid with a lot in common with her master, to one of...

Can Metallica actually master puppets? That was the question posed to the metal icons on Wednesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, resulting in a hilarious sketch. Oh, and the band also rocked an epic rendition of “Master of Puppets” on the show.
Following his monologue, host Jimmy Kimmel introduced a pre-taped segment in which the four members of Metallica went to marionette school to learn how to become puppeteers. After a quick lesson from the pros, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers were tasked with performing a theatrical production in front of a group of young children.
Lars Ulrich had the honor of appearing first, controlling a cactus puppet, as he began the story of how Metallica became a band in an amusing high-pitched voice. James Hetfield came out next, manipulating a cat puppet. Soon followed Kirk Hammett, the donkey, and Robert Trujillo, the invisible man.

This post contains spoilers for the ending of "Ghost in the Shell."
At least twice throughout its 82-minute runtime, Mamoru Oshii's 1995 anime film adaptation of "Ghost in the Shell" quotes from a biblical passage. On a boat in the fictional New Port City circa 2029, Major Motoko Kusanagi, voiced by Atsuko Tanaka in Japanese and Mimi Woods in the English dubbing, hears a whisper from her "ghost" and says, "For now, we see through a glass, darkly." This same line is referenced in the title of "A Scanner Darkly," with that book's author, Philip K. Dick, having penned the source material for "Blade Runner," a notable influence on "Ghost in the Shell."
Toward the end of the movie, Kusanagi quotes again from the passage in 1 Corinthians more at length, saying, "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law" finale.
To say that "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law" ended on a surprising note would be an understatement. Marvel finales and third acts have a tendency to be very hit-or-miss, more often than not devolving into a messy CGI spectacle that loses sight of its emotional groundwork. So when She-Hulk, Titania, the Abomination, and even the Hulk himself found themselves gearing up for battle, it seemed like this series would be no exception — but then the writers swerved right off that predetermined route and into the unexpected.
Instead of the same thing we've seen a million times before, "She-Hulk" delivered a clever and hilarious riff on a Marvel finale, effectively blowing our minds and giving Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) complete control of her storyline. For the people pulling the strings, having Jen charge into her own writer's room was a...

Horse-drawn carriages were back on the streets of Troy, N.Y., in August, alongside equipment trucks, honey wagons and camera cranes. HBO’s “The Gilded Age” had returned to shoot scenes for the second season of the series, which explores the lives of monied families and the people who serve them in 1880s New York. The previous year, the production had covered the streets of Troy’s Monument Square with truckloads of dirt to turn it into a period-correct downtown Manhattan shopping district, and also utilized other well-preserved 19th century structures in the town, 152 miles north of Manhattan, including the Rensselaer County Court House, the Savings Bank Music Hall and the Troy Public Library, along with its Washington Park neighborhood and the Oakwood Cemetery.
“The buildings [in Monument Park] were built between the 1820s and 1880s, and many of them are perfectly restored,” says the show’s location manager Lauri Pitkus. “You can...

Puppets and Jim Henson go together like strings and a marionette. It's basically impossible to talk about puppeteering without turning the conversation back to Henson at some point. Though he passed away in 1990, Henson's legacy lives on through his company, as well as his Creature Shop which continues to create fantastic puppetry for television and film to this day. In fact, it is this very Creature Shop that helped create the magnificent costumes and puppets used in Steve Barron's 1990 hit "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."
But convincing Henson to take on such a specific project wasn't that easy. Producers for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" were having a hard time getting anyone in Hollywood to take their idea of turning an underground comic book about four teenage mutant ninja turtles (there's really no other way to say it) into a movie, but when they eventually did, they still didn't have a...

Exclusive: Vince Marcello (The Kissing Booth trilogy) is set to showrun and executive produce Diva, a new drama series inspired by the exploits of real-life French heroine Julie d’Aubigny, from iGeneration Studios. Marcello co-created the series with Max Benitz — who will serve as its head writer — and will also direct a portion of its episodes.
Billed as a period adventure-drama told through a very contemporary lens, Diva chronicles D’Aubigny’s rise from an impoverished servant in 1680s France to battle rogues and royalty alike, in her quest to conquer the stage as the opera singer otherwise known as La Maupin. The show set amidst some of Europe’s most iconic settings, including Louis Xiv’s Palace of Versailles, the backstreets of Paris and Marseille, and the lavender-filled hillsides of Provence, will then watch as La Maupin finds fame, fortune and love – with both men and women – along the way.
