7 Countries NOT 6
princesa_leah11 December 2019
Just a little note, in the first episode it was mentioned that the Cordillera Andina cross over 7 countries, and that is because VENEZUELA should have been also part of this documentary. I understand that due to the country situation, is not easy to get permits to film, but you didn't Even mention it. That was not just offensive but disinformative. Not for anything that area in Venezuela is call (literately) LOS ANDES!

Beautiful but with a big fault
natiserra5 January 2020
This is a beautiful documentary, photography is amazing and also the narrative; however it has a big fault. It clearly states that the Cordillera Andina ends in Colombia and that's not accurate, it ends in Venezuela, in Merida where one of the highest peaks in South America stands, the Bolivar Peak with a high of 5,007m.

Venezuela is part of Los Andes
giseroja5 May 2020
I was born and lived in Mérida, Venezuela, I lived surrounded by the Venezuelan Andes, I was waiting for the end of the documentary with a flourishing in Venezuela, very disappointed at the end of this series, although the production was very good. As a suggestion it could be complemented with a second season

It is a beautiful documentary, that runs through the Andes, and lets us see wonderful places. The people, the music, the colors, the food. Everything leads to a journey to delight.

Seemingly inaccurate, incomplete
jarubioc-589699 December 2020
Commendable and enjoyable cinematographic effort/achievement. Nevertheless, one can't help but wonder why this Uruguyan-German coproduction series does not include a specific episode about the Andes range branch within Venezuelan territory. It actually covers three large western states of the South American country. In my humble opinion, this Andes branch is extensive and miraculously beautiful enough as to not be so blatantly overlooked..

Breathtaking
andrearaley-1725213 October 2021
This is a hidden gem. The vistas in each episode are spectacular. The filmmakers took care in showing not only the location of each place on the map, but the geographical features and stunning views. Best of all, there are local artisans and tradesmen and -women and people participating in recreation talking about their lives and feelings about living in such incredible places. Just fascinating. This isn't like anything I usually watch, but I definitely recommend it.

Really a dream place to be....
sjkraman10 May 2020
Landscapes , cultures and people on how different it is to the urban jungle is very nicely shown... What people experience being there is great and Its like they are blessed. I would have liked if the below are also covered, 1. Every place was like a quickly covered and closed off. More details would have been great. 2. A bit more about food and culture would have great. 3. Challenges on every day life people face

So poorly executed
ethanmaly27 June 2021
The visuals are stunning but was there no editing? The audio is mixed so unbelievably low compared to the music and at one point halfway into the Bolivia episode the narrator says the same thing twice like it was done in one take.

truly magical
silverace086 April 2021
It is truly magical how the universe conspires in mysterious ways, i was just talking to my mother today evening as she gets older about wheres she may like to settle down and live through her old age, and was trying to convince her about the very importance of finding a places that is pure in nature and healing in beauty so that once can truly live towards their full potential away from the hustle of our city life for too long lived in pollution and chaos, so here this docu pops up with episode 1.

I absoulutely love the FEEL of this documentary. The photography, the music <3, and just the whole way it is put together... there is something so peaceful, captivating and truly magical. I am watching it all over again with my coffe in the morning, when I can, just to put me in the contact with nature.. I want to watch more films from those creators! Thank you for this!

Lack of footage
cheesevt30 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I was enjoying the documentary until it got to Ecuador. I didn't like how every country mentioned in the documentary had a detailed description of the country and its culture but when it gets to Ecuador it gets rushed where we only see 10 minutes of Ecuador and all it shows is two volcanoes when there is a lot more to the Ecuadorian part of the Andes.

Underrated countries
api_lisk28 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Overall it's a great documentary, but honestly I didn't like how especially Ecuador (which only got 10minutes ) of the whole documentary was not explored completely. There are a lot of more places to show...

Argentinian tourism advertising
carovon27 December 2019
This is not a documentary, it is an argentinean tourism advertising. It shows very little of the countries that also share the Andes Mountains Chain, and it has a very partial perspective, mostly from Argentina. But most importantly it shows no deep understanding of the cultures that surround the Andes, for example it shows very little of the mapuche indigenous vision of the mountains. It shows a lot of argentineans that love the nature (and move from the city to the small towns in Patagonia) but nothing of the deep relationship that mapuches have with the earth. The "documentary" has a very impressive name, but the delivery does not worth the time.

This literally feels like a tourism advert you would see on a plane flight
absurdub21 November 2021
This is an advert not a documentary and the editing, especially the audio editing is terrible. No sense of narrative. Based on the first episode I'd give this one a miss. Some cool cinematography but we have a plethora of YouTube videos for that.
