Slaughter's expertise in the paranormal extends to her role in Paranormal Caught on Camera, where she lends her opinion on unexplained phenomena. Alongside her investigative work, Slaughter enjoys acting, modeling, and attending conventions to discuss her findings in the paranormal field.
Susan Slaughter was a key cast member in the latter half of Ghost Hunters International and continued working in a similar field after the show ended. Welcome back to Dead Time. Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction and sometimes things really do go bump in the night. The paranormal is often portrayed in horror movies for maximum dramatic effect, which doesn’t quite reflect the reality of what it’s like to have a paranormal experience. We watch horror movies about ghosts and demonic possessions because we like to be scared, but don’t you sometimes wonder what paranormal phenomena is like in real life?
To answer that question, this month, I was excited to talk with actress, paranormal investigator, and self-described “rock n rollin’, death defying witch” Susan Slaughter. Susan has starred in several horror movies such as Slay Belles, Bliss, and The Dawn. Susan also gives her expert opinion on videos of unexplained phenomena on Travel Channel’s popular television show Paranormal Caught on Camera and has also appeared on shows like Syfy’s Ghost Hunters International.

Comcast and NBCUniversal are pushing Peacock out of the nest starting Wednesday, April 15, promising to unfurl a rich plume of 15,000-plus hours of streaming content, first for the cable giant’s own TV and internet customers.
Peacock is then slated to be available across the U.S. on July 15 — while NBCU is mulling the possibility of moving that up sooner — in various three tiers across mobile, web and connected-tv devices: paid with ads ($4.99 monthly); paid with no ads ($9.99 monthly); and completely free with ads with a truncated content lineup. With the national launch, Comcast (and Cox) subscribers also will have the option to get an ad-free version of the service for an additional $5 per month.
So what’s on the menu? Peacock will include live and on-demand content across current and past TV shows, movies, news, and late night programming, with some live sports once they resume post-pandemic. Most of...

We Asked a Real Ghost Hunter About the Technology -- and the Truth -- Behind 'Paranormal Activity 4'
The Paranormal Activity franchise wants to feel real: the cameras are fuzzy, the houses are messy, and the actors look like people you've seen at the mall. But how realistic are the actual hauntings? We've consulted Stephen Robinson, a cameraman who searched for spirits in 26 countries for the reality show Ghost Hunters International. He's an expert in how to shoot the supernatural—so does he think Paranormal Activity 4 gets it right? Movies.com: Can cameras really record ghosts? Stephen Robinson: Yes, cameras can record paranormal activity—it's hard to say “ghosts”—but paranormal activity for sure. You'll see faces, outlines of figures. Sometimes they'll seem well-defined, other times you'll see...

SciFiMafia.com was recently invited to a question and answer conference call with Emily Rose, Eric Balfour, and Lucas Bryant, stars of the oh-so-excellent Syfy series Haven, whose Season 3 premieres tonight at 10/9c. Lazy Donkey Films has announced plans for an upcoming project titled The Hospital. Gathering some horror veterans and filming in locations rumored to be truly haunted, The Hospital is scheduled to begin production in August.
Hospitals are rarely settings for feel good moments. Sure, you've got the occasional exception to the rule like when, from her hospital bed, Adrian said, "Win, Rocky, win!" in Rocky II. But normally hospital scenes are more like what Shane discovered while trying to save Rick in the beginning of "The Walking Dead" or the unforgettable hospital moment from Let the Right One In. Now an entire film called The Hospital? That's gotta be trouble.
The film was written by Jim O'Rear and Daniel Emery Taylor. Taylor will also co-direct the film with Tommy Golden. To follow info on this film from day one, like the official The Hospital Facebook page.

The new season of Ghost Hunters is upon us, premiering on January 11 on the SyFy network, and we are happy to share a preview of the first episode with you. First though, let’s look back at the origin of this haunting powerhouse of a show…
In 2004, the the now SyFy (then “Sci-Fi”) network premiered Ghost Hunters, a paranormal investigation program unlike anything else on television at the time. Following the spooky exploits of Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes, Roto-Rooter plumbers by day and The Atlantic Paranormal Society (Taps) members by night, Ghost Hunters took audiences into the dark rooms, foreboding basements, and whispering attics we are all curious about, but reluctant to explore. Audiences have latched on to the revolving cast (mostly settled now) of characters who have joined Hawes and Wilson, getting to know the “hunters” through candid conversation and hyjinx over the years.
Several cast members in particular have struck a chord,...

HollywoodNews.com: As the newest member of Syfy’s “Ghost Hunters International” team, Kris Williams is among the few paranormal investigators qualified to answer the question of whether stories of hauntings are alike or different in North America and other parts of the world.
She says, “There is a difference in that there is so much history overseas.” With the domestic version of “Ghost Hunters,” “The 1700s seemed old. It looks like SyFy Channel's popular TV series Ghost Hunters will return for a seventh season! I don't know about you but I really enjoy watching this show! If you haven't watched it yet, it might seem silly at first, but things get interesting. You should check it out if you're not already a fan.
Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson will resume their roles as the leaders of Taps (the Atlantic Paranormal Society), which investigates reports of paranormal activity, from some pretty insane creepy places. Next year we will get 25 new episodes.

There have been two spinoffs of "Ghost Hunters" since its 2004 launch - "Ghost Academy" and "Ghost Hunters International" as well as many imitators on rival networks. Successful show is now Syfy's longest-running original series with the first of half of season six getting around 2.6 million viewers on average.

"Ghost Hunters" and the "Taps" (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) team has been a guilty pleasure of ours for many years. Although huge fans of the first few seasons the later shows in our opinion have been a bit watered down and the steam for new material seems to be lacking (not huge "K2" Emf meter fans either)...
Although there has been some rough patches we learned today via THR that the SyFy flagship series and their most popular franchise, "Ghost Hunters" will resume next year with 25 new episodes.

What’s that old saying about the blind leading the blind? The ghost hunter concept has been a joke since day one, ranking just above psychics. Yet, the masses have spoken and they just can’t get enough of ghost hunting teams turning off the lights in old rickety houses and scaring the fecal matter out of themselves. So the poorly named channel now known as SyFy decided a spin-off was in order and sent a troupe of ghost hunters abroad, calling them Ghost Hunters International. Now, it’s not just old houses but dilapidated monasteries and castles getting the “Something just brushed past by arm!” treatment. Okay, at least has improved, but the show is still a bunch of morons afraid of their own shadows walking around in the dark.
