Movie/series review

Warning: Spoilers
Watching the series and just got through episode 4, there's 10 in all, when I thought what a coincidence that this series came out in January 2020 before the world was hit with a coronavirus pandemic/covid. Watching this show and what we experienced over the last four years, it was quite aggravating to see that people really don't think much about coughing all over the place without covering their mouth when they're sick, not wearing a mask when sick, even when they realize that there's something going on - still not wearing a mask. The ignorance of people touching things without even paying attention to the fact that someone is sick and germs can be carried from one person to another. For example, when the figure skater is sick but trying to get ready for a commercial that she's in, she's wiping her nose and coughing and looking pretty bad. She then hands her Kleenex to one of the film crew and then that lady hands it off to another person who then hands it off to somebody else. Excuse me? Didn't she just wipe her nose with it and you're not even thinking "oh, I'm not touching that". It doesn't matter if It's a pre-covid series, I would think it would've been common sense not to touch a tissue that someone just sneezed all into. The Marilyn Monroe impersonator attending a birthday party and then kissing some of the guys there during her performance. It's like people don't even realize how much they spread germs and so it's no surprise that sicknesses are spreading around this world. And in the last four years, it really hasn't changed much has it? People are still ignorant to what they should, and should not be doing, when it comes to diseased. I thought it was surprising that even when people were looking terrible and coughing all over the place that the hospital staff wasn't wearing a mask until after the third person died, & even then some still weren't wearing a mask. Getting ready to start episode 5. UPDATE-- just got through watching episodes five through eight and it is amazing how close this is to what happened at 2020. Even in this TV series that came out in January of that year, it's talking about how there were these so-called online remedies or vaccinations that people could get that would protect them from the Cova, and we went through that in real life in 2020 when Trump was saying that there was stuff that people could take and that wasn't correct. Usually movies mimic real life, in this case, it seems to be real life mimic's a movie.

AKA "Outbreak"

If you can't find this show under "Epidemic", or "Épidémie" (French Title). You will find it under "Outbreak". Only 1 Season. It is the first time I've seen the CC explain what you can see on the TV (ie what someone is looking at on a computer etc). Obviously CC wouldn't be for the blind so that was interesting. Not the worst thing I've watched. I've been getting into more foreign movies & TV shows. Don't knock it until you've tried it a few times. I've found that if it's interesting enough, it's just as good and you forget you're even reading after a while. It's nice to see Ferrets used for once, that was a new take on the animal in focus.

Bravo Les Tous!

Faultless. Gripping. Mesmerising. Superb writing, direction, acting. Moving not maudlin. Did Nelly not recognise the thieving Triage nurse? Don't see how a second series is possible. No loose ends.

Wasted Potential

Could have been great! Filmed before the Covid pandemic really got underway, they hit the nail on the head with how things unfolded. Unfortunately, the background stories were cringeworthy. Note to writers- to a single mom, her only child is EVERYTHING, not a mere afterthought. This mom wasn't a cop, performer, doctor, mentally ill; she was always home but didn't have time for her young son? Secondly, sympathy lies for a woman who finds out her husband is cheating, not the lying, cheating man and his mistress. And what teenage DAUGHTER would expect her mom to drop everything to help her dad and his mistress? Especially 2 weeks after finding out about the affair?? Just no. Couldn't finish the show....
