This is pretty awesome, but a little bit off the beaten path.

In my opinion, this film is like 2 films put together into one film. Personally, I really like this one film, but there is a big disappointment in me seeing this film. Maybe this is according to someone's taste, there are things we should pay attention to:

The characters that Phop and Dew performed in their youth were very good, the characters of these 2 characters were well developed. Even when I say this film is really good in the part Phop and Dew are still young. Plus the seconds Phop calls Dew to go together, it makes my emotions go up seeing that. The characters of Phop and Dew in their youth were all destroyed because suddenly they were replaced by a man and a woman. It feels like this film is weird and I don't like it, suddenly my initial thought "This is so amazing" when I saw Phop and Dew's characters in their youth, became "What is going on here?" That's what I thought of once where it has entered the change of characters. I was disappointed by the devastation of the character of Phop and Dew in their youth, it was very disappointing.

In my personal opinion, the characters from Phop and Dew in their youth were very good, why should they be destroyed in the next half of the film with a new cast. This is hopefully a concern. I hope the sequel to this one film will rebuild the character of Phop and Dew when they were young again. They haven't finished their love story in their youth.

Quite a good one for anybody who wants to really feel the touch of reality

Hey, I watched this movie nearly two years ago and to be honest, I do agree it's not a perfect film, but it's not a bad one with an overall score below 7 either. I understand why Dew confused so many people out there. But as a guy who has already spent a long time thinking about this movie, I think I have something to defend for this one.

The story might be a bit strange, I mean from the very first few seconds I realize Pob has some sort of sentiments with the girl, I suddenly know it would raise a controversy. As an Asian who has immersed my entire childhood in a Buddhist country (I'm not Thai), I think the most confusing thing here is about reincarnation. The little girl in the second half is actually Dew but was born again. However, as information will never be lost, Dew's memories of his past life with Pob will never vanish and can be retrieved. That's why at the end, they recognize each other.

The thing I don't like about this movie is introducing another girl into the film, which makes it super hard to understand. I think the director spent a little bit too much time in the second half of the movie but still didn't make it clear why the appearance of the girl was necessary for the sake of the whole plot. I mean, I'm Asian so I could believe it, but not everyone could, especially if they came from a different places with different mindsets and belief systems. And that overshadowed the outcome. But thinking deeply into it, I found the suicide scene at the very end reflected what the director and screenwriter wanted to deliver: love is love, and no matter what, they're still two guys loving each other, so maybe death can be a new way for them to find themselves again, as long as they were led by true love, not hatred.

I think it's a must-see, not solely because it's touching, but you should watch to learn more about the old days when homosexuality and other sexual orientations were just a pandemic and were believed to be the cause of HIV/AIDS during the 90's. I'm sure you will have to thank God (or anyone you believe in) that you weren't in that tough time for freedom and love.

Regarding the cinematography or related stuff, I think you have your point of view and I respect that.

Long story short, you should watch it at least once with an open mind.

A Korean Movie Remake (Bungee Jumping on their own)

In the original Korean Movie, the 2 main characters were straight guy & girl. The girl then died and reincarnated to a high school guy years later. In Thailand remake, they added a bit of a twist from the original and make it the other way around. The 2 main characters were gay. The other gay guy then died and reincarnated to a high school girl years later. Over all the movie was supposed to be good, but the execution wasn't. The transition from past to present wasn't that good and makes it looks like a 2 different stories that aren't related to each other. In addition, many viewers were also confused as they used 2 different actors present & past (Unlike in Korean the guy was portrayed by the same actor - Lee Byung-hyun).

Story so weird

This story start with good but their story become crazy and not make sense when their adult life. I will feel like director mix two movie into one and it is so weird. All actor has good performance but i felt disappointed to its story.

At First It Blew me Off And At The End Story Did Not Fit

When i started to watch this movie, I loved everything about it, The Scenes, the story, the acting, The Way That Director made an effort to show a beautiful teenage gay love story and the drama that brought about strong feelings between 2 families that did not know how to handle this controversy BUT The second part of the film was the part that really disappointed me. I think the idea of reincarnation in a teenage girl was even more confusing to bring it to this movie plate not to mention the teacher had another women partner in the present that made not sense to the development of the first part of this Movie. i think the story could be much better if Dew could be present in the second part of the story and see the development of both of them in that town still full of prejudices and stigmas. Still The Music was good , Production and Direction was good too!

Special ... but very good !!!

I didn't know what to expect before watching the movie, the plot was very short, and I wasn't aware that it was inspired by two others movie. However, I can say I was agreeably surprised!!

The first part is well done and interesting, and put the frame of a complex discussion about important matters following the relationship between the two protagonists : family and society acceptance, friendship, choices in life... I really like this part that is heavy emotionally but also portray the innocence of youth and love in a pure way (yes, we are not all crooked, delinquents, perverts etc...).

The second part is quite special. I can see why many people don't like it : it's complex. However, I find it really well done and very interesting. I was very surprised !! You might have to use your brain to understand the all thing (but it's not complicated). Obviously, many didn't want to try to understand and it sadden me because the plot is very interesting and special for a Thai movie where it's usually cliché (even if I like it when things are ending well).

I enjoyed the movie so much. I really recommend it. At least give it a try! Even if you don't like it or don't understand the story it won't be a waste of time because : the actors are GOOD, there is a beautiful ambiance, beautiful landscapes, beautiful scenes... it will make you think about many things your life.

Amazing Movie

This movie is one of the best movies I've watched, by far. At first, it seems boring but once you let yourself indulge in the movie, you would get to appreciate it. It's about love that was forbidden. It has a good blend of emotions. While I was watching it near the end part, I kind of feel the heartbreak. If you really carefully watch the movie, you'll understand that N or L is the reincarnation of D and D came back to finish his love story with P. Kudos to the actors, director and most especially to the writers. It's amazing!

Muddled story, mediocre acting, not worth your time

When two boys develop homosexual attraction towards each other during a time of discrimination, this should make for an interesting movie. However, this movie fails on all accounts. Narrative-wise it seem like two movies put together and mixed up. In the first part, our titular character Dew meets Phob, and the two develop a mutual attraction, but since homosexuals are discriminated, their romance is taboo, and spans their childhood. The second part tells about an adult Phob and how his past affects his present. The second part is confusing because their is a frequent jumps from adult Phob to teen Phob. This hurts the story because it is distracting and does not help propel the story, nor does it provide any more emotional connection to the character. There is also a twist, which makes things even more confusing. The acting is mediocre, to say the least, and I would not recommend this movie to anyone.

Everything perfect until the 2nd part

Well i start watching this movie because ohm pawat (young dew), and i enjoyed it a lot until they came to the second part of the movie when phop already an adult and a merried man. Like man, i'm watching something interesting and in the half way someone just switched it up force me to watching something else. It's annoyed me so much, because this movie can be really good if they just continuing the plot of first half.

Love this movie, so imotional!

The things make me rate 10 is the story and the picture! But the scrip is crap! dmn ! Love is love after all.. which is make me more to hate it! Because I can't have one !

Creepy second part

I liked it when it started, it could follow a better storyline but it just got creepy and confusing that I skipped it, the beginning was kinda like your name engraved here in and i expected the ending to be alike.
