The script is awful
mani-2380913 September 2023
They could make a better story with good actors, but it turned out to be awful! From episode 9 onwards, it was as if they just wanted to finish the movie anyway and did not value the content for the viewer! The time of the story moves forward without purpose...I still want to know how Okkesh found Canaan? At least say that GPS was needed and found it, but it's as if God came and inspired Okkesh.. Did the writer and director see the movie once?see for yourself Some Turkish series should work more on their scripts, otherwise there will be no progress...Turkish cinema has the potential to compete with European and American cinema...

Short but wonderfully balanced series
bandamlouji21 December 2021
As mosquitocyn review above, one of the most beautifully written storyline, well cast, well paced series ever.. It truly reflected the area's culture and traditions. No dragging, no stupid none stop crying and weeping non-sense. Rare montage errors but absolutely not significant. Truly recommend it and deserve a very high rating..

Quintessentially Turkish and Well Acted by All Concerned
vlt0382018 September 2022
I recommend Turkish dramas for anyone seeking to learn the essentials of acting. No matter how contrived the plot, both the screenplays and the actors reading the lines always deliver.

This is a typical Turkish drama that addresses the issue of family loyalty. It has a Romeo and Juliet warring-families theme, however, it is located in a smaller region of Turkey where Hodja's (local clansmen) rule.

The families relive their hurt when a clan member was thrown down a well. When the accused's daughter experiences the same fate, the town Hodja makes a decision that will unite the families forever.

Beautiful touching romance family drama
mosquitocyn27 August 2021
I can't find fault in this well acted drama with lots of disputes between two families and a deep emotional romance between the female and male leads. The cast is very good, beautiful scenery and amazing music and songs. It is well paced. I'm at episode 8 and am very happy with series and am giving it a 10. I read from the internet that some found the male lead appear old but I don't think that's an issue. We are too used to dashing young heroes and I find the male lead fits the role and holds his own aura in this series. Certainly recommend this series to all.

Such a beautiful story/drama

I absolutely fell in love with this drama. It is such a beautiful story. It was not boring at all, did not need to skip some scenes at all and it was a perfect 16 episode drama. The male lead might look a bit old but he grows on you. He is such a brilliant actor as well. I loved his role in this drama. This drama is one of the best forced marraige turkish dramas i've watched in a long time.

Great series

I love this show Kenan and Zuluf are great partners in this beautiful love story. The whole family drama was great despite how they started the love was real between them. I felt sorry for Kenan he had to carry his family and his wife family on his back he was a tug of war between the two FAMILIES and no matter how hard he tried to make peace his crazy brother and stepmother just wouldn't let him get any peace.
