It somehow goes beyond any ratings

This movie is life changer forever. This is the kind of movie that if it could be shown to all people around the World it will change the World for better. Or at least to people so called Western World. The leading actress Golshifteh Farahani, which now is established as an international star, with this film definitely deserved at least an Oscar nomination. You should see it to belive it. Any kind of adjective to praise this film seems inapropriate. Even the word masterpiece did not give You the meaning of what it is. It somehow goes beyond. Why? Because it is about maternity or better say Maternity. The movie has all what good movie hast to have, Screenplay, Acting, Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Music Score but it is in general the simple story and superb acting ( including kids) which will make anyone without exeption with wet eyes and trumbling heart. If You know and prize Separation by Farhadi, so watch M for Mother by Rasoul Mollagholipour to see another Universal Meaning Drama. A must see!!! I've seen in January 2018 and is absolutely actual like shooted in 2017.

a true cinematic astonishment

I wasn't prepared when this film unexpectedly knocked me out with its emotional force, so real, so natural and very raw, and that too with less effort. The atmosphere, following the daily lives of the characters with a beautiful work of cameras, until it's the right time to hit you with the hard questions of morality, love, humanity, most importantly childhood and parenthood. The effect of the film is still inside me, making feel overwhelmed of what I've seen.

Pure Art, Pure Cinema

Whenever I watch a bad movie, I resort to Iranian cinema to treat my soul and brain.

This 2006 movie directed by the cinematographer Rasoul Mollagholipour is my escape stop after the 'Marvel's Eternals' disaster.

This movie, which broke box office records in all Iran and the Middle East when it was released in 2006, has been forgotten today.

I thanked Rasoul Mollagholipour, whose grave I visited when I went to Iran, for this film.

(This movie whose DVD copy is also very bad) I hope it is discovered and restored by Criterion.

The great acting of Ali Shadman and singer/activist Golshifteh Farahani (currently residing in America) is just one of the dozens of beautiful details in the movie.

The invention of cinema, which started with Thomas Edison and continued with the Lumiere Brothers, is as if it was a destiny written by the gods so that Iranian cinema could be born.

Outstanding

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. This movie was recommended to me many years ago but I didn't watch it. Last September I decided to watch it and I understood why it was recommended to me by many people. I regret not watching it earlier! Every detail about the movie is amazing. The soundtrack is outstanding and the acting is surreal. It hits right in the feels! I cried a lot throughout the movie. Despite that it was a sad movie, I enjoyed every bit of it. Today I'm watching it for the second time! I don't really write movie reviews but I felt the need to let the world know that this movie is a must-watch.

A True Masterpiece, A Must-See

I am shooketh by this. This is beyond being just a movie. It has some kind of charisma or atracting power (idk how to describe it:) ) that drowns you deep inside the story and you are filled with waves of different emotions which sympathy and thankfullness are on top. It's an absolute attitude-changer! A MUST SEE FOR EVERYONE (ever more than once).

Also unique artistic actings of Golshifteh Farahani and Ali Shademan as mother and son besides their impressive interactions just makes you fall in love with the movie as if the characters are your close friends.

Not to forget the memorable heart-warming songs of the album ''M For Mother'' by Aria Aziminejad which add even more strong innocent emotions to the movie.
