Fortiche Productions made a music video named "Get Jinxed" for Riot in 2013. It already features Jinx and the city of Piltover. Riot was so impressed by the work at Christian Linke's request to work with Fortiche to produce an animated series, which took them together several years to create. After the release of season one, Riot announced that there would be a second season and that it would take less time to produce.
Arcane Season 1 cost approximately $80 million, while Season 2 escalated to around $100 million. Additional investments went into marketing, with Riot spending $60 million for Season 1, making at least a confirmed 250 Million dollars spent on Arcane. This makes Arcane the most expensive animated series ever made.
The goggles Claggor wears in Arcane are the same goggles Vi wears on her head in-game for Riot's League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, and other games.
Imagine Dragons and J.I.D. did an official animated music video for League of Legends (2009), a few days before Arcane released on Netflix. The visuals focus on life in the undercity.
