Quite interesting when Norton isn't talking
I'm not sure how Brits can take his utter caterwauling and constant need to be in focus, rather than the person asking the questions.

I don't know if he's trying to say 'I'm like Elton!! I'm a big deal!! I'm friends with this guy!! Look at meeeee!!!', or what his deal is, but eeegads every single time I see him 'interview' someone, he always seems to find a way to insert himself into the discussion.

This could have been a fabulous interview with wonderful insight into Elton's troubled past/tumultuous parental relationships/current events, but I'm constantly reminded that Norton is the one conducting the interview.

Cmon England, do better.

I seen better interviews on Sir Elton

More about the man than his music. This was a mix bag of facts, i not sure this was needed, well the level of detail about his toilet habits. The interview was a bad way to tell the world of his struggle with prostate cancer. i though Elton would have announced that he was ill, just to get awareness about this disease like he did with aids but, he must of just wanted privacy that understandable. I glad hes treatments gone well, but it seems his been through hell and back.

Excellent glimpse into Elton John's mind and career.

At filming this interview Elton John was 72 and living in Southern France. He was still not finished with his world tours and when asked what he would do after he couldn't really answer. And maybe that was the best glimpse, he has gone through life with no plans and just tried to make the best of what he encountered. He thinks maybe he would take a year off and just be with his family.

He and I are of similar ages so I recall the extent of his career, from his early 20s and through each phase of his life. What is most refreshing about the whole interview is Elton's candidness. He never holds back, he frankly discusses his successes and his issues, including his drug and alcohol use. Or the fact that he is bald but doesn't like it so he always wears his wig. Or how his teaming up with Bernie Taupin was a sheer random lucky event. As of the taping of the interview he had been sober for many years and seemed very content with his life.

Good almost hour-long interview, I watched it on Amazon streaming.
