WOW !

I thought the other episodes were exciting, well they were nothing compared to this one. I was literally on the edge of my seat screaming at the television. I always knew Michael Sheen was an amazing actor but he surpasses even that as Martin. He's not in the episode for very long but he sure does make an impact. If you're not watching this show you should be.

Go Toward the Darkness

Great episode, the way it should be...dark. At one point I had to look away -- and I grew up in the Bronx.

Wow, I'm still shivering

Hard to write without spoilers, but I will about them. Suffice to say, twists, turns, great acting by several characters. My stomach is roiling. Not a spoiler to say the series will continue with its main characters. That takes away some small amount of the tension, none the less, an incredible episode

Like a Hitchcock thriller

I've been on the fence about this series all season, but this episode moved me to the bonafide fan column. Gratifyingly, it reveals a lot about Malcolm's childhood, but also raises new questions that will keep us hooked. It has all the elements of classic thrillers like Wait Until Dark, Dial M for Murder, and Rear Window. The Whitly/Brights are all major forces in the story--including some vulnerable moments from The Surgeon--and Arroyo's never-give-up determination offers relief from the desperate, no-way-out tone of the story. And as always, Michael Sheen is AMAZING.

Still recovering from this (in the good sense)

In the name of everything holy: this was intense, yet again! The series is deliciously dark. This episode was kind of crazy, and definitely not the creepiest episode of the series (so check out the other episodes!) but still breath-taking. I felt nauseous watching Malcolm go through so much whump, too. For some it wasn't enough, but if you watch the series: there's plenty to keep everyone saturated!

Warning: Spoilers
So there's a killer in the house and instead of running straight out, they run to a lightswitch away from the door? The main guy is hand cuffed and has a hammer, instead of of, oh I don't know, breaking the chain or the cuffs themselves he figures it's better to cut his own thumb off?

This is the silliest writing ever.

One of the reasons....
nnom22 January 2020
.....people are overrating this episode is because they're invested in one or more of the characters. Considered reflection after the episode will reveal huge cracks in the storyline....which is too bad. Up until this point, this series was a highlight in my week. Hoping they'll find their way next ep.

Oh dear, what occured here?

So the season was going pretty darn good till this bumpf. Forget the assumption after assumption, the awful eyelash fluttering of the FBI agent (so badly acted by Meagan Good) but the fact that if you live in a house and don't know how to get out or break a window and shout for help then god forbid. Lazy lazy lazy, it just gave up. Now was it because this may have been the real end of season one before it got greenlighted for an extended run? Who knows apart from the powers that be, but this episode is shockingly lazy with its direction and writing

Alone Time

Warning: Spoilers
There is no doubt Prodigal Son is daft but it went a little off the rails in this episode with all those hallucinations.

Malcolm is chained up somewhere by the Junkyard Killer and he also learns some truth about his childhood.

His father, the Surgeon planned to kill Malcolm as Malcolm was getting too inquisitive but he then lost his nerve.

The police search for Malcolm and think he is in some cabin in the woods.

Malcolm is more close to home then he realises and his family is next on the Junkyard Killer's chopping list.

There was an Eli Roth/James Wan elements of horror in this episode as Malcolm needs to escape from his confinement and he has to take drastic action.
