Sam's restaurant is vandalized after he gets into an argument with a politician on social media over remarks made about Nigerian refugees. He is visibly angry and distraught and this scene may be difficult to watch for viewers who have experienced a racially motivated hate crime. It is then followed by him having a very poignant conversation with his father.
The funeral episode is very emotionally intense.
Episode 5 is emotionally devastating by the end and it could have people crying.
