Sex & Nudity

  • There is male buttock nudity in one episode (locker room of the football team). Sex is not directly shown, but discussed between characters.
  • In one episode, we see two characters kissing, the girl points down and you see the man go down out of frame before the scene ends. Oral is implied but nothing is shown.
  • There also are mild sexual references.
  • A man is repeatedly referred to as a "wanker".
  • Several pictures of scantily dressed women (one of which is topless) are visible in a man's locker. Lasso puts tape over the sensitive area.
  • At one point, several sketches of a woman's breasts are shown.
  • In season 2, a woman masturbates. Her lower half is covered by bedsheets but it's very obvious what is happening.
  • Ted accidentally walks onto the field with his pants unzipped. No nudity.
  • Guy having two girlfriends at the same time and them clearly being ok with it as he kisses one right after the other in front of eachother.
  • Jamie answers the door without pants on and we see his buttocks as he walks back to his bedroom.
  • It's implied Ted slept with Sassy.
  • Roy threatens to flick Jamie's genitals (he answered the door wearing only a tshirt)
  • One episode's plotline involves nude photos being leaked we see a clip of Keeley presumably nude leaned over a chair talking seductively.
  • Beard is seen wearing thong style briefs in the final episode.

Violence & Gore

  • Ted gets a nosebleed while playing soccer with a group of children and we see some blood drip on a ball as he autographed it.
  • Nathan throws up into a bucket in one scene and we hear gaging noises which may trigger viewers who have emitophobia.
  • Sharon is involved in a bike accident she recovers but is told she had a concussion.
  • Jamie projectile vomits after working out with Roy although it's brief it may gross some viewers out especially those who are sensitive to vomit.
  • Rebecca falls off a bridge and lands in a river.
  • In season 3 episode 7 several players are shown vomiting on the field after working out.
  • Isaac confronts a heckler in the crowd by grabbing him by his shirt collar.

Profanity

  • Plenty of profanity: "fuck", "shit", "dick", "bitch", and "god damnit" are said throughout.
  • Ted is called wanker alot throughout the show
  • "Poof" which is a homophobic slur in the UK is used in the first episode.
  • Todger ( British slang for penis) is used.
  • Jamie gifts Roy a jersey with his last name misspelled to look like an obscenity.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Characters shown once or twice in the first season smoking. Very minimal. One character is caught smoking in a locker room and uses a shoe as an ashtray.
  • Characters often shown drinking alcohol privately, with each other, in pubs, etc.
  • In every episode you can see alcoholic drinks.
  • Ted and Beard drink tea laced with halucigenic drugs.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some scenes are rather emotional but there is nothing intense or frightening
  • A dog is killed off-camera
  • References to suicide and mental illness.
  • Roy Kent is very short tempered and often raises his voice at the players.
  • Ted has a panic attack at a karaoke club and is shown in emotional distress it is a very realistic depiction and may be hard to watch for some.
  • A character named louie barton says "this show sucks" it is a shocking scene that breaks the 4th wall.
  • Some scenes involving vomiting which may be triggering for viewers who are easily squeamish.
  • Sam's restaurant is vandalized after he gets into an argument with a politician on social media over remarks made about Nigerian refugees. He is visibly angry and distraught and this scene may be difficult to watch for viewers who have experienced a racially motivated hate crime. It is then followed by him having a very poignant conversation with his father.
  • The funeral episode is very emotionally intense.
  • In the episode Beard After Dark Coach Beard goes to a rave like club which has lots of bright flashing lights that may trigger viewers who have seizure disorders or photosensitivity.
  • Episode 5 is emotionally devastating by the end and it could have people crying.
