I probably have a weird taste. Sure I do. When I saw the reviews, I feared the worst. Being German, I love beer, so I had to take a peek. But then it turned out that the entertainment value is quite pleasing. I'd classify the gags more as a teen comedy from the 90s. Mostly below the belt. But still a lot of funny ideas and puns (more modern setting). Actors are nice and meet the expectations. Characters are a bit one-dimensional, but not primitive. And something always happens, sometimes predictable, but always charming. So if you are into rude jokes with a pinch of cleverness you will be served above average here. At least by Netflix standards.

Not that good, but pleasantly watchable.
The only thing that bothers is they didn't get their sources right. They should do more fact checking before making a series.
And get your languages straight. Try to find out what Flemish/Dutch really sounds like before you add in words from another languages then American English. It's like casting an Italian for a Spanish speaking character.

I was stoked when I saw a show came out from the makers of the league. Every single character is absolutely horrible. Not a single one is funny. Only bright side is the absolute babe that works on the grilled cheese truck. I didn't laugh even once. I can not stress enough how bad this show was. They even have numerous semen jokes with the dog. It's creepy. Every positive review is paid for without a doubt. HUGE SWING AND MISS.

Comedy and what someone thinks is funny is subjective. When you're on the toilet and laugh at your own fart and splash sounds, this show will crack you up. Concept could have been fine, but the constant barrage of less than mediocre jokes and unlikeable characters ruin it. Two stars for effort. But that's pushing it.
Slow starting but gets better

Let me start by stating that the character adam is very hated in my eyes however he grows on you enough to bare the first episode. Once past this point it has had me in stitches and is based around a subject i feel strongly about (beer). Slowly seeing the brewery grow is good start and character development is great. Hopefully we will see a second season.
P.S definitely recommend for stoners

I found the show lacking and at times felt forced. It does have its clever moments, and points of brilliance but those tend to be followed by forced, simplistic and frankly lazy humour.
Recommended for a Background where you half pay attention. Enough to catch quips but enough to miss fluff

That anyone remotely associated with The League had something to do with this dreck, makes me question whether it was a good show at all. The directing is uneven, the camera work is lazy and uninspired. This isnt even good Quaratine watch material.

I think it's pretty damn funny. It's a show about beer and bad jokes what the hell are you looking for? Kind of reminds me of a lot of the 90's comedy's. Which we could use more of in my opinion. Drink a beer while watching and enjoy. 👍🏼🍻

I've seen the negative reviews which are fair enough. This series is a bit like the beer they make, you need a few down before you get the taste. I found once it got past the 1st couple of early episodes it past the time fairly well. Some jokes are hit and miss but overall by the end I found myself hoping they will get a second crack and carry straight on with another series.
I like beer! I like comedy! I can't stand this!

This show is without a doubt the worst, bottom of the barrel rubbish I have watched in years.
I am really surprised because I thought the league was great.
This however is truly bad.
You want to like it but you just can't. Jokes about urine and semen are seen before and seriously dated and ....... just not funny. Adam is a very painful character to watch.

Solid concept, decent acting, just bad writing. Way too many ridiculously over-the-top, not clever, crude jokes. Acting was decent for the most part. A handful of these reviews seem to be annoyed by the Adam character but come on...that's the point. The actor plays the character perfectly, i.e., I found him entertainingly irritating. Without Adam, the show would honestly be nothing. If Netflix green lights Season 2, I'd watch it.

This was actually painful to watch. The acting was almost as bad as the writing. How shows like this even get on the air I don't know. It was absolutely gross to see the guy pooping behind the brewery and then showing it. The best directors know that sometimes not showing something but allowing the viewer to imagine it through what is being said by the actors is the best way to convey the point. I mean, there are lines that once crossed you just can't go back. And for sure I won't be going back for any more episodes. This is a total waste of time and almost guaranteed to be canceled and soon.

I was nervous seeing a lot of reviews under 5 stars, but I was so interested by the concept I decided to watch any and I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up watching the whole seasoning one night.
It's not an incredibly smart comedy with a laugh every minute but I had a lot of fun watching it. I didn't love the league and stopped watching after season 1, but it seems like a lot of the reviews held their expectation to that because of the creators.
Sometimes the writing is confusing or feels jumbled, but the plot is so easy to follow you can usually figure it out. The cast dynamic really makes up for it. The character Adam felt unbearable in the first two episodes but by episode 3 the others start to undercut/stand up to him and balance it out.
I think this show had a rocky but redeemable first season, and if it gets renewed I hope the writers will listen to feedback because the concept has so much potential.

This is the worst thing I've watched since the McGyver reboot, and this is way worse.
I have watched 4 episodes, and oh boy was this hard! Every character is a cliché of himself, the acting is so forced it is actually painful to watch. It is not like the writing makes up for a poor performance from the so-called actors. The lines are actual garbage. Nothing is funny. It seems like those old sitcoms from the 80's, only way worse, with no believable storyline, character, or... anything, really.
Save yourself some precious time in your life and do somethinh else with it. Anything, really, is a best use of your time than watching this, even during quarantine.

It's beerfest meets brewing. It's a frat comedy everyone likes messing with each other. Laughed and completely invested in each episode. If you have dry humor this is not the show for you so don't leave a bad review if it offends you.

Really! Annoying pedanthic comedy about beer brewing. Characters are as stupid as the rest of the show. Espescially the brewing expert brother. No normal conversations, everything is shouted and supposed to be funny, while it is really just annoying. Oh and why do the Belgian munks from Maasmechelen (which is in the flamish speaking part) speak german? And really a guy named Trufflleschweinchen (which again is german for truffle pig). Seems that the producers of this show do not respect their audience. Some advice to Netflix. Start being a little bit more selective to what you offer your audience.
Don't waste your time.
