Outstanding plot, and writing....

As usual of oriental films it seemed a little long, but I'm American so it might be my problem but that is why I gave it an 8. The actors were awesome, the writing fantastic, the plot line was very original right to the end. I would consider this a great family film.

your average korean dramcom

All in all, I felt that " Cheer Up Mr. Lee " tries too hard to be funny and emotional; so much that it's cringe and cheesy. However, it does get a little bit better as it progresses. I guess you need to let it find its place and you just need to get adjusted to the style and tone of the movie.

A miserabilist movie

Actors overplayed too much, it is harrasing.

But the little girl played aswell.

I think that it is a kid movie.

Wonderful movie!

I absolutely loved this movie - so heartwarming - funny in some parts and deeply emotional in others. The acting was top-notch (Cha Seung Won never disappoints!) and all in all just a great little movie.

Very moving story - watch it to the end

Very moving story. A mentally impaired man meets his daughter who is sick. They take a trip to Daegu. Like many Korean movies there is more emotional connection than expected especially when the back story is revealed. After that it's quite moving. Cleverly written incorporation of true events. The usually tough guy Cha refrains from overacting. The little girl is good. Watch this to the end.

Family emotional movie, underrated.
A must watch and most underrated movie. Touching one. Good movie. The character, who plays the role of a father and a daughter is groundbreaking.👍

Incredible

Loved this movie a lot. Great story from start to finish and the acting is superb from the two leads to the rest of the actors supporting. I won't say too much but you may need a hanky or two. Definitely goes down as a favourite 10/10.

Surprisingly hits the spot!

A good plot! Funny, light, heart-warming, it really draws you in. The characters are charming. Great casting. It seems you see familiar actors when you watch a certain amount of K series. Light but very touching. A must see. Thats why Korean films are a hit! Recommended for the whole family! Well done!

Underrated Masterpiece

I have been watching many many movies for many years - Hollywood classics, modern Hollywood (which is mostly trash), epics, documentaries, period, old WWI and WWII movies, sci-fi, Korean, Japanese, British, French, German, you name it.

And I have to say Cheer Up Mr. Lee is one of the best, heart-warming, funny, wholesome family movies that I have ever seen.
