Worst Movie Ever?
mcdowellkenny13 September 2009
Quite possibly the worst movie ever made. I just wanted it to end. Here are some of the reasons:

  • There was no storyline and everything that happened made no sense.

  • The acting was bad. Seemed like they were all reading from scripts.

  • The music and sound effects were annoying.

  • The entire cast was made up of the production crew. I would assume that the positive comments on this site were made by the same since no one in their right mind would find anything about this movie appealing.

Basically I can't even think of one thing positive about this movie...Waste of money. If I could only give it a zero rating...

A Gritty Nailbiter Thats intensity Rivals That Of Any Recent Studio Feature
danthewrestlingmanorigin6 September 2007
Hunting Season is such an impressive film, that is well worth seeking out. The intensity of this project rivals any recent studio effort. The plot is the basic young people go camping and end up getting hunted and tortured by crazy rednecks. However one thing that elevates it, is the characters aren't the typical stereotypes you normally see, and the viewer is given some back story, and a reason to care for these people and root for them to pull through. There are several scenes that will have you cringing and biting your nails, involving barb wire, steaks, and even a chainsaw chase through the woods. I never felt as though I was watching a low budget feature made by a first time director, which is saying something. Hunting Season delivers the suspense, and will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. Look for big things from this director. Highly recommended.

A gritty no-budget shocker
Jim-D19 December 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Hunting Season is a rather straightforward survival horror feature made by a newcomer director and an army of friends. While its impossible to ignore the budgetary constraints placed on the film, Hunting Season somehow manages to step out of its z-movie roots and achieve truly thrilling tension and scares.

The plot follows a group of friends on a camping trip who end up besieged by two completely psychotic hunters. The build up is slow and methodical, with much of the true horror purely in the anticipation. When the blood starts flying, things get extremely sticky - and there's absolutely no telling who will live or die.

There are some slight issues with the film's sound quality, and I found some of the music to be a bit jarring, but other than a few very minor complaints, Hunting Season is an extremely solid new entry in the indie horror scene. Its fun, scary, and extremely intense.

I look forward to the director's next feature. With a larger budget, I think he could pull off an even more memorable film than this. Check it out!

Simply Amazing

Warning: Spoilers
There is only one word to sum this movie up: Perfection. Every last line leaves you on the edge of your seat. So let's break it down by pros and cons.

Pros: 1. Baywatch: The director clearly displayed his love for Baywatch when Keegan "Hasselhoff" ran through the forest to save his sister, in what I call an Academy-award performance. The way his arms powered through the forest and his shirt flailed in the wind was directing at its best.

2. Alicia and Keegan's romance: This is where the movie was at it's best. You can see the lust that Alicia and Keegan have between them right from the start. It only deepens when Alicia performs her striptease for Keegan while he completely ignores her (Keegan was playing hard to get in my opinion).

3. Screaming: The screaming in this movie is great, especially from Keegan's sister. The only bad thing I can say about her screaming is that there should have been more of it. At the end of the movie, the director only lets her display this talent for 20-25 minutes, when it should have gone for about 40-45 minutes. When you have the talent to scream like she does, the movie should be made around it. Clearly a rookie mistake here.

4. Best sex scene: When the bad guy goes "fingerdipping" while Alicia is sleeping in the tent... Priceless.

Cons - None

I highly recommend this movie. If you're looking for a great horror that really does it right, this is your movie.

Wild Ride

Hunting Season is an erotic thriller that not only thrills but also chills. From first time director to first time actors, this film turned out to be one hell of a scary good time. The jokes were also amazing(for proof listen to Keegans innings joke lol) I was laughing and at the same time was truly scared. All I can say is WOW, got a chance to view this with a few of the cast members last night. This movie just rocks my socks! From the start of the film I knew this would be a treat. The character of Keegan was amazing, handsome, daring, and just plain sexy. The strip tease was fabulous, the song that played during the scene "The Feeling is Gone" was great too. We watched that scene in slow motion to really get the effect. If your looking for a great film and some awesome acting watch this movie because if you don't the feeling will be gone!
