In an unreal turn of events, Larry The Cable Guy stumbled into our virtual studio clearly by mistake and sat in with us for an incredibly funny time. On the verge of his new comedy special coming out, 10+ years in the making, we talked about how he got started in stand-up, the origins of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, some great advice for aspiring comedians, and of course, what's going on in virus lock down. git-r-done we did.

Every picture tells a story, don't it? TMD caught up, virus free, on a safe socially distant call with Troy live from LA. If you aren't familiar with Troy, he is the in-house photographer at the world famous Comedy Store in LA. We chatted about his early days in stand up comedy, producing and developing TV and how he became the only official in house photo at the Mecca of comedy.

The things quarantines will make you do. We managed to corner Jon on a down day during week 3 of social distancing, and boy did we have a good time. Jon's the man, myth, legend and Chief of Staff normally setting up shop on a weekday afternoon at the historic, Stand Up NY Comedy Club on the West Side of Manhattan, NY. On this day, we caught up with him from an undisclosed location somewhere deep in the woods of New Jersey to talk about how and when the comedy scene comes out of hibernation from the virus, how he got his start in the business, and how we are getting out comedy fix during this insanity.

TMD caught up with Jay live from LA on week threw of the virus lock down, to get the inside scoop on the fastest growing sport in Comedy, Roast Battles. Jay has been producing the incredibly popular recurring Roast Battle show at the World Famous Comedy Store in Hollywood and has appeared on the Comedy Central show multiple times. We stumbled onto JC while watching the Disney Channel...true story, and come to find he is a hysterical stand up comedian. Part of the series "Just Roll with It" it's a pretty cool scripted hybrid show that incorporates improv, and its not just for kids. What makes this one different from every other one? Shawn breaking some unleavened bread with us to talk about how The Gregalicious may have single handily taken down the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas, our mutual respect for Hollywood mogul Bryon Allen, and what its like being one of 10 Jews in Oklahoma. She is indeed one of the top comedians working today and a regular at the World Famous Comedy Store in LA.

Fast forwarding to the good parts, Mr Skin didn't realize TMD wasn't going to be as stimulating as his day job but pretty sure we got our moneys worth. If you aren't familiar with "SKIN" you must have not listened to the Howard Stern Show the last 20 years, or saw the movie Knocked Up. Skin is a savant of the nude scene. Ability to rattle off the exact time stamp any female actor has shown skin, is quite the skill. We didn't test him on his off shoot "Mr Man" but we trust him. This was another fun one sure to stimulate your mind.

Stand-Up comedian, and co-host of the wildly popular podcast Girls Gotta Eat, Ashley hung out with us to chat about dating during quarantine, girls of Coachella, Bro's being Basic, and how she and her GGE co-host Rayna got together. These girls are killing it with their live shows, and looking forward to getting back at soon.

The 3 dudes, Tom McCaffrey, Alex Pischera and Eric Bransteen from LE2B Podcast join us for a Zoom chat and we had a riot of a 5 way. Alex gearing up some some interesting voyeuristic stuff from the basement of his mother's house, Tom live from the beaches of Texas, and Eric living on the edge in NYC you will have to tune in to find out all the secrets we uncovered. I think the moral of the story is, kids, wake up for school on time, or your father may start an Instagram account @latenotes for the sole purpose of embarrassing you to the point of no return. Thats just what Seth has done, and it is hysterical, and has grown to over 100k+ followers with an insane engagement rate. The name comes from the late notes he would write for his kids to take to school, and has morphed onto a full on viral sensation with crazy videos, dress up, etc. We talk about his former pro baseball career, living in Utah, comedy, and what it is like to be crazy. This one is a home run.

It's not every day you get to chat with one of the greatest character actors of all time. If you don't recognize Rick for delivering the best line from Groundhog Day, or from playing Mr Beasley (Pam's Dad) on The Office, or from any of the over 70 films, and 40 different TV shows he has appeared on, you know him as "The Drake" from Seinfeld. Besides all that, he is an accomplished stand-up comedian. Oh, he also won an Emmy for writing. Clearly he is way out of our league, but we got him, so our luck, is your luck. enjoy.

Running down the rabbit hole we go. Diving headfirst into the trim crime genre, we spend some time with Patrick, the host of the ridiculously popular podcast True Crime Obsessed which was the first podcast show to ever play Broadway, with a Playbill and everything!!. We talk about our obsessions, where we align on the topic, Tiger King, and a whole bunch of other dope stuff. One day, we will have 3+ million monthly listeners too. Poppa been smooth since days of Underroos, Sometimes your words just hypnotize me...That's just what Asad does as one half of the touring duo HYPROV, with partner, improv comedy legend Colin Mochrie. Their show is a totally unique comedy experience pairing group hypnosis with improv comedy turning the show into an improv extravaganza. We caught up during the early days of the lock down and talked about what live shows may look like on the other side, and what its like working with one of the legends of improv comedy.

Erica Rhodes is really really really FUNNY. - and if you want she can zoom teach you the chelo. That's not some secret kinky handshake code for something (nick is still wishing it was)...we uncovered she went to college as a chelo major and that her entrance into comedy was pitching a comedy agent before she even did stand up. spoiler alert...it worked. She has had a number 1 iTunes comedy album, was on nbc's Bring the Funny and grew up on the A Prairie Home Companion radio show, and is one of the funniest working comedians out there now.

Rich Vos hates us, and that is the highest compliment we could have achieved and TMD loves Rich Vos. We started out on the wrong foot by making Rich listen to our theme song, and we eased it back from there. This was a good time. We knew we had to be on our A game with this one. 220/221, whatever it takes. This is definitely a highlight of the season. Rich is quite obviously one of the funniest people on the planet, and really a great guy for indulging us. If you don't know Mark "Weissguy" Weiss by name, you know him from his iconic music photography which helped craft the visual imagery of rock and metal in the 1980s. He has photographed legends from Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, and Mötley Crüe to Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Bon Jovi, and KISS. His photographs have been published in thousands of magazines and he is responsible for two of the era's defining album covers, Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet and Twisted Sister's Stay Hungry and we talked about it all. 68 is great.

Realizing "work" sucked Mitch found his way to stand up comedy after spending time in the Marines. Acting silly on a stage in front of strangers on a nightly basis is his thing. Currently 11 years into stand up, has one of the dream jobs working as a door man at the World Famous Comedy Store in Hollywood. The Mecca of stand up. In the TMD series of Ivy League comedians we spent some time with Bill Dawes, Princeton grad (Aerospace Engineering degree) and also holds a Masters from NYU, Bill is quite the intriguing multi-faceted entertaining threat (killer). Bill has appeared in dozens of TV shows, he is 3-time Broadway veteran and as a stand up comedian has more videos than any other comedian on the Laugh Factory Youtube channel. We dug into some serious chatter about conspiracy theories. This one is hot. jump in. water is warm.

Funny, Brash, and the first female to be hired as a "door guy" at the World Famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, Jess chills with us and we reminisce about the time she lost her "patience" with The Gregalicous at her work, her amazing podcast The Liar's Club, and how she went from the Air Force to featuring for Iliza Shlesinger, Whitney Cummings, and Bert Kreischer. Growing up in a very talented family, the genes hit Maija hard. Veteran of the US Coast Guard, Jim chatted with us about making animated videos, people's annoying laughs, our favorite comedy albums and being judge by mid westerners. Eventually, you can catch Jim regularly performing in the clubs in NYC, as well as on tour nationally.

Scopes poses the hard hitting question, "which came first".. - followed up by "you're gangsta" referencing Harry coming up in Detroit and finding his way between the world of animation and comedy. Leading to uncovering Harry has some rap albums out in the world, making him truly an entertainment triple threat. Performing all over Los Angeles he several comedy shows in town, and a monthly showcase at the Dirt Pit Lounge which is actually in a friends backyard in the valley.

Steph Tolev is Hilarious, and we are not just saying that because it's her website. We seems to be talking to a lot of comedians from north of the border, and wonder what is in the water up there. Steph's most recent album "I'm Not Well" is currently nominated for a Juno Award for Best Comedy Album and one of these days, we might know it it won. We chat about getting popular on TikTok, prop comedy, home videos, and not introducing her a a "funny girl" comedian.

Totally recommend after listening to #79, you watch her Comedy Central set on This is Not Happening and her 15 minute special on Netflix's "Comedy Lineup". if you don't laugh until you cry, you probably suck.

And apparently there are masses of well dressed guys on the NYC subway system pulling it out and showing it off. For the record, The Abyss is a movie from the 1980's, but also what we call it when we get you on TMD. You've seen Nathan on The Tonight Show, Conan and The Late Show and now an obvious highlight of his career, TMD. We cornered him during quarantine for some chatter about movies, comedy and things that make Nathan angry. Lock in.
