I don't care if Turner was bald, since it's easy to find why he shaved it off. I did care that Dewshane was not there. I don't understand why he wasn't, and maybe he was on another shoot or something, but this movie should have had a halt put on it till they had all the ducks in a row. When you have gone to all the trouble to make 2 other wonderful movies, I never understand why the 3rd one, frequently, is always ruined by things that make no sense whatsoever. I liked the mystery, but at times it seemed as if Cara was more interested in that than her wedding. Why was his sister put there? Again, another oddity that made no sense. But, the absolute WORST of all of this movie? Dewshane proposing on an iPad? What the heck was Hallmark thinking? No. I don't buy the digital age explanation. It was horrible. If a man cannot propose in person, then don't do it at all! It only serves to make a woman believe he doesn't care about her. There was no reason for him to propose this way, so it should have just left that up in the air, or said he had something to ask her when he returned from wherever he was. I give this movie a 5 in that the first 1/2 was not too bad, but the second part seemed totally and completely rushed as if something happened at the last second, and they decided to proceed with whatever someone came up with for the end.

Just OK
toncincin4 April 2021
Not the best sequel. Why was she so suspicious? It was unnecessary. Just kind of meh. I watched it because I liked the other two movies.

I think they should have at least acknowledged the shaved head. We know why he did it in real life - but it wasn't even acknowledged in the movie. No reference at all - just like it was normal, every day behavior. It could have been explained in some fashion.

Won't watch again ... not enough magic.

Another movie
scbelle-521386 April 2021
I liked the movie. However, I felt Shaun's absence left a void in the movie. I would love to see the characters back for Shaun and Megan's wedding.

Give that man a wig!
ts-00004 April 2021
Considering the importance of the story series, how about give him a hair piece?

The overall feel of having the wedding where they met, just didn't have romantic vibes.

Felt like she was getting married to a man,who was having health issues.

Was hoping for something grander, that would compliment previous two movies.

Casting,overall acting,cinematography was ok.

Still.. Worth checking out!

Agreed, it's the worst one so far
MickyG33311 March 2023
7.2 stars.

I won't go into too much detail about this third installment of the Winter series, or whatever they label them, for one thing they renamed this "One Perfect Wedding" instead of "One Winter Wedding", or vice versa, I don't know. What I do know is that it's by far the worst of the three so far. I anticipate possibly more of these films, there is obviously a cliffhanger of sorts at the end, we are being set up for a fourth.

What is good about this: it's at the same ski resort, all the folks come out to enjoy the wedding, his sister is the best maid and she has some spunk, there is a cool mystery behind the couple who built the resort some 70 years ago, give. The very end scene was so wonderful, akin to the first two films which had multiple great scenes similar in quality. So for positives, they are few. What is bad about this film: it's too slow, there is some minor intrigue with the "lies" and withholding of truth, and it turns out to be meaningless in the end. There are some major flops with the wedding itself, happenings occur which cause hiccups, but it's superfluous to the story. The interactions are good between the leads, but one of the leads isn't technically in the film at all, he's a tele-actor of sorts, it's tacky.

The romance is non-existent, the entertainment is virtually absent. Sometimes Hallmark gets a bad script, does the best they can to build a decent movie, and it flops. We must move forward and hope for the best with the next one (I hope there is a sequel, but I have doubts).

The worst of the trilogy.
MIssM199 April 2021
Cara and Ben decide to get married before their schedules takes them to Europe and Asia respectively. Of course, they choose to marry where they first met.

We were expecting this movie to go in that direction, being the final one (probably) but weird things happened: one the leads wasn't there, the locations changed, our main lead didn't have hair and new characters showed up. Personally, I can excuse a few of things, because, you know, COVID, and the world is changing constantly, but all of these together? It's like I was watching a whole different movie. They probably should have waited a little bit longer.

I have been looking forward to this movie and was excited (OWW is one of my favorites), but if it doesn't stay true to the other two, (which I loved) what's the point? Someone who didn't watch the previous two could have watched this without problems and that's the issue here.

We all know Taylor and Jack have good chemistry but that wasn't enough to save this one. Unfortunately, this was disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it because I already fell connected to these characters, specially Cara and Ben but it wasn't enough.

Storywise: another fail. These two are getting married and are suspicious/keeping secrets? They could have used so many plots but they chose one of the worst (a third party being the worst idea EVER).

Anyway, this is the worst of the trilogy. It hurts to say that because One Winter Weekend is one of my favorites of Hallmark. HOWEVER, if they decide to make another one, I will probably watch it.

Perfect Trilogy Ending
echers4 April 2021
A great way to end the 3 movie story.. My favorite movie is still the 2nd one, One Winter Proposal but what made this movie special for me was Taylor Cole. Her acting finally shone through and finally she had a lot of charm.

I'm not a big Taylor Cole fan because every movie, her acting is just an Ice Princess with little appeal. But, this movie was her best acting job of her career and she was finally warm and fuzzy and had a lot of charm. I wish she performed like this in every one of her movies and maybe, going forward, she's gotten it and perfected the acting art. I really do hope so because she's beautiful and I'm rooting for her to be the best actress she could be.

Everybody else in the main cast is great, as usual and I will miss this story continuing..

All work and no play makes...
innerlooper9613 February 2023
I really did enjoy this movie, but sadly, I had to rewatch/restart it because it required more focus than my usual efforts. I wanted to blame the fact that I was distracted, but after reading the reviews, I do think that there were some incongruencies or irrelevant aspects that didn't add to the plot or help much.

First: props to whoever thought of mentioning those "The Shining" References! They are well done, but you have to pay close attention.

One Winter Wedding is I think formally titled One Perfect Wedding, but the title had to be modified, so that's one thing that is kind of odd. Many comments are discussing Ben's new shaved look, which is so strange to discuss. I think it's just another style, and that is all there is to the matter. If he were ill, trust me, we'd know and he'd NOT be in this movie. Having COVID doesn't make us lose our hair, although it can definitely be fatal, so yes, if he'd have had a fatal case, we'd also not be seeing him here. Many men who are losing their hair or just want to be less bothered with their hair go for the shaved head. He looks amazing, has a great face, and the facial hair adds edge. I don't think he needs to do anything else to look great.

The movie itself had a lot of extra details that muddied the plot. I think the Goldie character needed more definition, and the part of Ben's sister was completely random. She didn't add to the plot at all, and I could see the dress mishap being in the story without her help at all. If you watch the scene, Megan pretty much takes responsibility, even though his sister completely reversed the names. (Yes, she tried to tell Megan with texts, but it would have been too late, to me, and the deal was sealed when she reversed the color names/dresses.) Megan was in full-on Megan-esque mode, and I love her and still can find her a little grating. The DIY controlling scenes were starting to wear thin (boring).

Cara was beautiful in the dress she actually wore; I think they purposefully chose an ugly bridal dress in the salon knowing that they'd have this story morph into wearing Mom's dress. That dress she ordered was completely hideous. So boring and so unflattering.

My only concern that took away from the movie was the overall weirdness of Cara thinking Ben had secrets, as if he weren't trustworthy. If she's already having these reservations, it's not going to bode well when they reach year 10 of marriage and he's possibly not as amorous or as accessible or a dozen other things that happen IRL. It was somewhat anti-HAllmark to have her be THAT worried and mad.

I didn't love that she was mad at him for pre-arranging Clara Lake Lodge for their wedding venue; she felt it was isolating toward her, but in reality, he did something so incredibly kind and sweet.

The Dewshane character (Sean) is so lovable, along with Megan. I hope that they have their own movie ASAP.

This movie gets points from me for:
  • beautiful cozy settings
  • generally likeable characters
  • the best-friendships
  • an effort to incorporate real life, like COVID, even though they didn't mention the word. I think this remote-proposal idea was more of a reality than most of us would care to remember, and seeing this on screen may make it easier for some couples to not feel so badly that they had "abnormal" things like remote weddings or remote proposals, etc.

The big nope: take out the freaking story about her writing. Please make it go away. It was so boring, and there was just nothing about it that added or helped the storyline of the movie. From the start of the photos showing the "stoic" man with his back to the artist, I thought "how can Cara just infer that he lost his wife or is miserable?" Does no one else pensively look out over a beautiful scene? Maybe he lost someone in the war. There are thousands of options.... The writing career can still be incorporated but these details of the photos and the going-back-to-the-bench (so unrealistic to believe that it's THAT bench) - it's just all too much for a little movie.

But, I still enjoyed this overall.

Hallmark should have waited...
alar624 April 2021
Until first male lead, Jack Turner, had hair, second male lead, Dewshane Williams, was personally available and they had a stronger plot.

Came away feeling "things" happened just before filming and the powers that be decided to go ahead anyway because Hallmark is a movie machine with a limited production schedule and the clock was ticking.

Disappointing sequel.

Overall Good Movie
pattersonjamie-1207917 April 2021
The biggest negative with this movie, was the lack of Dewshane Williams in person.

The overall story is good for and Taylor Cole was better than normal. She is typically good, but really good in this one. I got over Jack Turner's bald head, but his British accent showed through. Rukiya Bernard was excellent and funny as ever.

Winter wedding at a snow chalet between two successful individuals.
cgvsluis4 May 2023
Cara, a successful writer, and Ben, snowboard CEO are finding it hard to schedule in a wedding into their busy, busy life. They suddenly decide to just forget the wedding and go for a courthouse wedding....tomorrow (although I am not sure you can do that in Seattle without having filed previously).

Not an issue as last minute Cara's father calls and they postpone again. Cara is working on the last book in her trilogy...I appreciated that Ben knew Cara's series so well he could give her plot direction advice, and headed on a European book tour. Ben is getting ready to start a new manufacturing company in Asia.

Best friend Megan is a dream and really steps in to help when the groom picks next weekend at the ski chalet for the wedding. In lieu of his best man who is overseas, he picks his younger sister to be his best person. Back to the Clara Lake resort where Cara and Megan first met Ben and Sean when they double booked them into the same chalet and ended up reluctantly sharing...and falling in love.

"Guess you have to settle for an air kiss."-Cara "It never feels like settling."-Ben.

Cara stumbles upon a mystery at the resort around Max and Clara, shortly after their wedding Max goes off to war and there are no pictures of the two of them after that...just a picture of a solitary Max looking out wistfully from his cabin.

"If you're gonna read a mystery, you've got to unravel it."-the pianist

I love Megan's off the shoulder soft sweaters...gorgeous!

Lots of challenges, potential purchase, and a mystery, but these two really love each other and nothing is going to get in their way.

Romantics will enjoy this winter wedding.

I loved all 3 of the movies but I did notice that during the couples dance that Ben wasn't wearing his wedding ring. Why?

The complete opposite of perfect
TheLittleSongbird3 February 2022
'One Perfect Wedding', or 'Our Winter Wedding', is the third film of the 'Our Winter' series. Of the three, 'Our Winter Proposal' (the second) was by far the best for me. Was not a fan of 'Our Winter Weekend', though it did do some things very well, but 'Our Winter Proposal' was pretty good and improved in some areas (for instance Taylor Cole). Was not that excited for 'One Perfect Wedding', despite being about the wedding there was the worry about it feeling like a sequel too far.

That unfortunately was the feeling that was gotten watching 'One Perfect Wedding'. Do absolutely agree with those saying that it is the worst of the three, by quite some way, and don't have much to add to the reasons as to why. As far as the 2021 Hallmark films go, 'One Perfect Wedding' is one of the weaker ones. And one of the weakest, maybe even the weakest, of the 2021 Spring Fling films. The previous two 2021 Spring Fling films were far from perfect, but with the vast amount of things that goes wrong here this film makes 'Chasing Waterfalls' and 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' seem like masterpieces in comparison.

Are there good things? Yes. The best actor is Rukiya Bernard, which was true of the previous two films as well. She is on sparkling form and generates a warmth that the rest of the film badly lacks. Jack Turner also doesn't come over too badly, though his role seemed underwritten.

Best of all though is the scenery, which is stunning and beautifully shot.

However, a lot is wrong. Taylor Cole acts like too much of a cold ice queen and there is no chemistry between her and Turner. Tedra Rogers irritates as her character, one that is completely unnecessary to the story and probably was just there to fill in for Sean. The chemistry with everyone is too disconnected and only Bernard's character is likeable. The others suffer from being bland and from the character flaws being overdone. Absolutely agree that the suspicion was irrational and overused.

Furthermore, the script is stilted and feels both forced and too thick on the schmaltz. The story is paper thin and predictable, but it also feels like it was made and written in a rush. With too many events moving too unrealistically fast and rash near senseless decisions being made too quickly and in a contrived way (i.e. One of the cheesiest ways of proposing to someone to ever happen in a film in recent memory). The direction is routine at best and the music is neither memorable or particularly fitting.

Summing up, pretty weak. 3/10.

Don't pay attention to other reviews. Sweet movie!
Tamarah10 October 2022
I can't believe all the people who are making comments about the bald head. First of all, I happen to think he is still handsome, and second of all, as I am a person going through cancer, who only has a few hairs left, the viewers need to give him a break! My husband was bald at the end of his battle with cancer, and I think he was still extremely handsome!

I have not seen the previous movie, but have looked at photos and think he is handsome both ways. Please don't let this get in the way of a sweet if imperfect movie!

I like that they did their best to work around filming schedules and Covid. It was creative. Was this a perfect movie? No. Was it worth watching? Absolutely!

Kind of Ruined the trilogy for me
drewindallas4 April 2021
Why is Cara so suspicious of Ben after all this time?

Why is Ben bald with no explanation?

Why is the log cabin/chalet now magically a completely different luxury hotel room?

No answers to any of these questions and a very weak story lead to this poor rating.

It was a good movie considering it was in the worst part of CoViD
cthyqc6 February 2024
I have no idea why there was so much negativity about th Shawn character not being in the movie. It was the early part of CoViD and people couldn't go from the United States and Canada freely. Hallmark did and does do almost all of their filming in Canada.

All the negative comments about the lead character with a shaved head were just as silly. He looked great and it was a nice change.

Now the Taylor Cole character was so self absorbed because her husband to be didn't ask her permission for everything he was doing was unpleasant. They have been together for a few years. She knows he runs a company and had other responsibilities but some how she thinks he has to tell her everything. Not a good way to start a relationship.

Sister?
sesey-371814 April 2021
I specifically remember Ben claiming to have a brother and that his father was deceased. Never mentioned a sister. I think they rushed this third installment. I wasn't feeling Zoey and was disappointed that Shawn wasn't there in person. I would have loved for him to have at least pop up at the end. I do love Megan's mom killing it as a DJ!

Why so many sequels?
Jackbv1235 April 2021
Dewshane Williams had to video in his role. Jack Turner may love his new look, but I agree with one reviewer to the extent that it at least makes me wonder if he was sick. And with another who asks why is Cara so suspicious?

I'm not a fan of wedding planning movies. I want to watch the getting to know you stage. The wedding planning part of this movie wasn't that interesting, different, or funny.

The plot in this one is so thin that Taylor Cole has to channel her Ruby Herring roles so they could put a mystery in to fill time. The mystery is mildly interesting.

The last scene is the best part of the movie for two reasons: 1) it was a unique and sweet way to do what they were there for; and 2) absolutely gorgeous scenery.

Really - Taylor Cole Marries a Billiard Ball
doug2go4 April 2021
How to screw up a great story - might be another appropriate title for this mistake. I enjoyed the first two with a handsome Jack Turner and Taylor Cole exhibiting more than the average on screen chemistry. There was no chemistry because her romantic lead looked like someone who just finished chemo. My wife watched the whole thing for some reason and couldn't believe that was Jack Turner pretending to be Yul Brynner.

I am ever amazed at Hallmarks casting dept - with a 1/2 dozen movies with single women playing romantic leads while very pregnant and now casting a billiard ball that once was a handsome actor in a romantic lead - Shame on you for screwing up a great story.

The third in the trilogy wasn't a charm
jds-553 April 2022
This movie just seemed a little off. I agree with the others about Ben having no hair. Nothing wrong with bald men, it was just kind of a distraction since he had hair in the first two movies.

Also, not having Shawn at the resort with them was a disappointment. I really liked the Megan and Shawn relationship throughout this trilogy.

Hallmark needs to do a movie showing what happens with Shawn and Megan with Ben and Cara being the supporting characters. Kind of like how the main characters took turns in the Wedding Veil trilogy.

Anyway, a little disappointed with how this trilogy ended.

Disappointing Sequel-Cast Issues
annalwintersbiz4 April 2021
I agree with the other reviews. Ben should have had hair (a wig) to finish the sequel. He looked sickly. Some white men can't pull off bald the ways brown and black dudes can....they just look sickly unless they are big and beefy.

Second, I was extremely disapointed in the storyline for Sean and Megan. In a time of BLM and an interest in increasing diversity, Hallmark had the chance to expand the romance of Megan and Sean. Having Sean in the film on IPAD was terrible. Sean's character was an intergral part of the the 3 movies as the best friend to Ben and the love interest of Megan.

This movie should have waited or shot in 2019 immediately after the other. The storyline was kind of meh too.

Presumptuous movie
rhonnie-4313910 April 2021
I don't know who thought this sequel was a good idea. They were wrong.

They should not have wasted their time or money. I think it was assumed that the viewers wanted this 3rd installment. But if I didn't care about the first or second then...you know.

It was quite dull as were the other two. Nothing to see here.

I appreciated this part of series especially for Tasha Simms work. And for old photos of Goldie parents. I was seduced by the first part. I do not saw the second one.

The problem of this film is the hard effort to offer to viewer too much. A large ball of plots, a not comfortable manner to create, again and again tension. Sure, obvious good intentions. But the confuse moments, the feeling to discover improvisations is present. And not exactly in pleasant manner because many moments are just forced , from secrets to snow, from politalented Michelle, to poor. Daniel (and Ben, in few moments ) , in difficult situation always, to the remind of loss parents.

Happy who see , from entire series, only this film !
