Discovery Channel has bulked up its program development by naming veteran programmer and producer Simon Andreae to the newly created position of West Coast senior VP of development and production.
In his new post, Andreae will be in charge of leading Discovery's West Coast development and production of new series and specials.

Simon Andreae has been named Svp of development and production for Discovery Channel.
