I was a bit disappointed with this episode, and couldn't place on my finger on what it was that felt off & different about it; in the vein of the feel and flow, and how it navigated from start to finish.

But, then I saw the director of the episode was Carrie Brownstein, and then I understood why it felt the way it did.

Now, I'm a big Carrie Brownstein fan as far as her music & acting career are concerned, and just her overall her as an Awesome creative artistic modern woman.

But her directing doesn't seem to be ready for big projects, and I think she still needs time to develop her voice and her style.

With this episode having big lesbian undertones to it, and Brownstein being involved in the LGBT community her whole life, I can see why they went her as the director.

If this show is trying to get people to really dislike the Brendan character, they are doing a very good job.

I don't know why they keep trying to play this "whoa as me" perspective from him, as if he has always been used to being adored and pampered by everyone his whole life, but college isn't quite the same for him, so now he is sad to not be #1 and at the top of everyone's list anymore.

It seems like they are trying to generate sympathy for his character, but, they will get none of it from me.

Mrs Fletcher started off as a cool, down to earth, true to life, quasi comedy, and I really enjoyed the first 3 episodes.

But now they seem to just be going in a "Shock & awe" direction, and it is losing its charm and it's sincerity, which is a huge shame.

I hope it picks up for the final 3 episodes, and goes back to being more realty based, and not so "grab your short attention span" type of way.
