Humankind is a good game... that feels like it's stuck in a beta. The ideas and concepts are quite interesting, creating a civilization that is shaped on your choices. But the execution is muddled by a unstable performance (constant lag, long load times, audio crackles, and consistent game crashes), unfinished, irreverent, and/or broken game concepts (religion), as well as out-of-place and weird design choices, big and small (the pacing is really weird as it is super quick, and you can go into the highest Civs with a low civics). It's quite a shame that I have this many problems with Humankind, but I actually do like this game, mainly because of the untapped potential. There are so many cool ideas being wasted here. But as of now, just wait on this game.
