- Most of the action violence includes blood sprays from gunfire.
- Hundreds of people jump out of windows, and when they hit the ground, we see their bodies mangle and splatter out blood. You see dozens of people hit the ground and either explode or ragdoll.
- At several points, when jacked-in humans are attacked in the Matrix, in the real world they jerk their heads and bodies in pain while strapped inside their chairs. Blood can be seen spraying from the noses and mouths.

- Red and blue pills are swallowed by various characters at various points in the film. Characters are shown stumbling around and being disoriented after taking red pills.
- Mr Anderson's Boss lights a cigarette and smokes whilst they talk on the sofas during a meeting.
- A man drinks straight from a vodka bottle as he contemplates jumping off of a building.
- A man and woman toast each other with cups of a presumably-alcoholic drink. A comment is made about the potency of the alcohol.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- A single sequence where dozens of people purposely jump out of buildings and fall to their deaths onto the street. They are seen hitting the ground (with heavy smacks) but obscured by shadow. A LOT of blood is shown. Some of the people explode into clouds of blood.
- The pod sequences may frighten several viewers as it is graphic with injury detail visible. The characters in the pods scream in agony as they are experimented on.
- There is a chase scene towards the end where soldiers are mobbed. It's has some 'zombie' like moments, mindless crowd mobbing the crew of the ship.

Violence & Gore
- A man's jaw is kicked off and the same man's throat is later slit, with the inside of the throat seen for a split second coming off with gore visible. Both injuries immediately heal afterwards, due to "sci-fi effects" (the character isn't human).
- A fully nude man and woman are experimented on by tiny machines. There are several shots with their insides (head, face, and ribcage at various points) exposed has blood.
