A three-part docuseries about the murder of John Lennon, narrated by Kiefer Sutherland, is coming to Apple TV+.
Titled “John Lennon: Murder Without a Trial,” the docuseries features “exclusive eyewitness interviews and previously unseen crime scene photos, shedding new light on the life and murder of music and cultural icon John Lennon and the investigation and conviction of Mark David Chapman, his confessed killer,” according to a press release.
“Murder Without a Trial” is being touted as the “most thoroughly researched examination” of Lennon’s 1980 murder, as it was granted extensive access to the New York City Police Department, the Board of Parole and the District Attorney’s Office through Freedom of Information Act requests. In addition to exclusive interviews with those closest to Lennon at the time of his murder, the series also takes a close look at the motivations of his killer through conversations with Chapman’s defense lawyers,...

Rob Coldstream and Clare Cameron, the directing team behind Channel 4’s hit documentary Jade: The Reality Star Who Changed Britain, are turning their attentions to the Spice Girls for their next project. Channel 4 has commissioned 72 Films to make Girl Powered: The Spice Girls (working title), which will tap archive footage and revealing interviews to provide a complete portrait of the British girl band who shot to fame in the 1990s. The show was commissioned by Alisa Pomeroy for Channel 4, while Coldstream is the executive producer and Cameron is the series editor.
