This is the SVU I remember
marysammons-422208 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
No political agenda being rammed down your throat. Just a straight up sex crimes case. I must admit the end with Mei Mei had me tearing up as she talked to her brother. Margaret Cho was great as Mamasan. Of course the feds swooped in. I think Fin May be right. I don't think Kat will last. I don't care for her. I keep hoping Carisi leaves the DAs office to come back to SVU. He seems disillusioned with it now that he's there. I hope the rest of the season the cases are like this.

Great Story, Great Action

Great episode with lots of guest actors that really shined in their roles! Storyline peaks one's interest from beginning to end with one of the best action-packed episodes of the season.

Amazing episode

Counselor, it's chinatown is an amazing episode because of the story and the amazing acting from the Asian Acting community, I love Margaret Cho and everything she does and the performance by the arrested John played by Joe Heiselmann.

According to Dick Wolf, Every Asian American in NYC is Fresh Off the Boat

Seriously. At least once every two seasons they have an episode featuring Asian Americans involved in sex trafficking or whatever, along with the "so solly" stereotypes. And to make matter worse, this one has Margaret Cho (playing a Chinese American).

Just ugh. So much for a show purporting these days to be so woke. Complete with the White savior trope.
