The film's title is a combination of Josh's favorite Christmas movie Love Actually - L'amore davvero (2003) and Natalie's favorite Christmas movie Trappola di cristallo (1988). Alan Rickman stars in both.
While Josh is teaching Natalie to climb at All Things Outdoors, he provides the insightful quote "Great things are done by a series of small things brought together" by Van Gogh. This same quote can be seen on the display behind him as he begins to spot Natalie.
