Enjoyed this and Kim Seon-Ho after watching Start-Up

I liked a lot this fast-paced crime drama, with comedic and romantic aspects. I watched after getting acquainted with Kim Seon-Ho in Start-Up - it's a good follow up title, to enjoy his talent (and see him finally get the girl!).

It was interesting to see the lives of the subway police team who patrol the subway and catch criminals who engage in crimes on the subway. Along with interesting crime cases, the drama showed the emotional aspects of the people involved in the cases and the impact of the crimes in the lives of everyone involved, including the two police teams (subway team and investigations team).

The chemistry between the characters was good, and acting by the ensemble cast was engaging - I enjoyed each of the supporting characters and guests.

I also enjoyed the themes of refusing to settle when pursuing justice and dreams, filial and parental love, responsibility and accountability, redemption. Nicely wrapped happy end, resolving two love triangles in a satisfactory way.

Better than i thought

This drama is better than the credit it gets. The plot is unique and it is a fair good combination of crime, thriller and romance. I liked kim seon ho's funny acting. Kdrama fans should add this into the list .

Good Enough

" Catch the ghost " was an okay drama.

What I didn't like was some characters and the romance spin on the story. What I liked was the case, the action scenes and the way they wrapped everything together.

First of all, the main case was interesting. They managed to link everything together and, in the end, the final result was satisfying. The villain had background and it was nice that they didn't make it easy to figure out who the ghost was. The action scenes were pretty well managed too. However, the drama was interesting only at the begining and towards the ending. Thus, the main part was boring at times and didn't provide anything fresh.

Then there were the characters. Though I liked the male lead, who was overall a sweetheart, the female lead was annoying at times. It was clear and understandable that she did what she did to find her sister and solve her case, but she tended to ignore or forget her team and act on her own. The leader of the police team was extra unlikable as well. She was bullying the female lead for childish reasons and she acted unprofessionally and idiotic.

Finally, the romance was just not necessary. Or, at least, it didn't work for me. The love triangle was even worse, as it was hardly there in the first place.

That said, the performances were really good, from everyone in the cast, but especially the leading lady who was amazing as the sister and the subway cop.

So, overall, six out of ten.

Awesome Story

Honestly I loved this drama. Firstly, I really really like Moon Geun Young and Kim Se Hon( if I am not wrong). And the storyline, plot was like this that I was eagerly waiting for what will happen next. Also I felt little scared too. And Moon Geun Young's double part was truly fabulous. Also I wished more physical contact between them but I think the last kissing was enough. Because there was enough chemistry between them. Plus, there was really so so much funny scenes, that I laughed hard. So I will recommend this drama to watch. Happy watching.

Kim Seon Ho steals the show again

Kim Seon Ho proves he is an actor to watch in «Catch the Ghost». It is hard to get out once you've been trapped by Kim Seon Ho's charm. Not only by his looks, but by his natural acting skill. An actor with a capital A! He lives in every character he plays. The viewers remember each of them. He is Han Ji-pyeong whom we warmly embraced as the witty, kindhearted and loving guy in «Start-up». He is Hong Du-sik whom we love as the handy, adorable and mysterious Chief Hong in «Hometown Cha Cha Cha». He is Jin-gyu, the spoiled brat who turned out as caring and well-mannered guy in «Strongest Delivery Man». He is Jong Jae-yoon, the clever and loyal adviser to the prince in «100 Days My Prince». He is Gong Su-chang in «Two Cops», one of most lovable ghosts ever performed on screen! Who wouldn't be fascinated with Seon Ho's sweet and irresistible portrayal of Rae-wan in «You Drive Me Crazy»? He even gave a remarkable face to his supporting role as Sang-tae, a sweet and delightful officemate in «Mr. Kim/Good Manager». In «Welcome to Waikiki 2», he showed his potential talent as a comedian as Woo-sik's... that has been fully developed and was deeply admired when he joined the casts in 2D1N show.

All these characters mentioned, gave him a «good boy» image. Go Ji-seok in «Catch the Ghost» is no exception. He is good, kind and caring both as a police officer and a son. The hospital scenes with his mom is as touching as Ji-Pyeong's confrontation scene with grandma Halmoni in «Start-up». He acts yet it as if he does'nt... he seems to possess the person he plays on screen without trying hard at all. That is talent! The leading lady, Moon Geun-young deserves also an applause with her double performance as twins. Catch the Ghost is a good drama. A bit long? There are some scenes which are not necessary and needs to be cut off. Nevertheless, «Catch the Ghost» is entertaining, no doubt. I certainly enjoyed watching it.

Watchable...

Unfortunately, I had expectations for this series but the biggest turn-off for me was the romance. I believe the casting was not on point regarding this aspect. The driving case for this series was built perfectly, engaging and worth exploring. It even presented so many weaknesses to regulations and how they can be used against the law. If you are into the crime genre, this would be a good one.

Usually I watch Korean Series from Netfix, believing all the best series would be in there. I was just browsing in Viu app and start to watch this serie.

It is unique plot, setting in underground domain catching serial killer while engaging to other external environment as well.

Great story line, not just about catching serial killer but also about family, romance, comedy, investigation etc etc a lot of theme wrap into one Serie.

All characters stands out weighting by their roles.

Lots of plots and twist towards the end.

Worth watching and it deserve wayyyyyyyy more credit than it has been having.

Interesting story, Good actors.

One of the best K-dramas with interesting plot and sub-plots. Main leads did a tremendous job in bringing justice to the roles they played.

It have a great story,, the story of a subway police officer and her sister,,,A subway serial killer kill people and put their dead body in the Metro train,, why he kill people and how he put dead body is a Great suspend,,at last how the police catch him..story is very good. In every two episode new criminal are caught by them....now I am coming to the point of acting of the actor who played different role,,the main lead actor kim seon ho acted very good his acting skill is topnotch,,, also the other actor actress done a great job,,I am a fan of kim seon ho after saw Hometown cha cha cha.. Then I saw all of his drama movie,, in every where his acting skill satisfied me,,,he is a great actor

The stroy is good, actor is good,,i think its make you feel good,,,highly recommend.. Please Watch the drama in It's real language.

Too much part that not make sense

BORING & LOUSY AFTER 11 EPISODES

This is the finest example of how good a series can engage you and how boring it can end too... seriously what crap thought process was running on writers after episode 11cant figure out . They reveal a killer and yet they drag u till 16th episode to jus kill your time total absurd ... Pls skip the watch after 11ep as there. Is nothing beyond that only unnecessary flash back p.s this is jus a revenge series not a psycho on loose or serial killer like others. Wtf senseless dull moments filled episodes.

Lousy polices

If the police department worked like in these serials, the world must be in deep chaos as so many incompetent police including the detectives, inspectors, and top management as well. How come 3 prisoners could get out easily of the jail at police HQ that has some floors and many police work in the building? I believe the Director had the imagination for the stories but lacked knowledge of police department standard procedures. The main team is also incompetent and wastes too much time in handling a case. Once again, it's identically to K-Dramas in that too much unlogical scenes inside the movie.
