Lucas is incorrect when he tells LJ that Sarah Lawrence College is two hours away from "the city"; it is an hour's train ride on the Metro North to Grand Central Terminal. From GCT it is an additional 12 minutes by MTA train to NYU.
33 minutes in, the students are passing various Manhattan landmarks on a bus. They pass in the front of the NY Public Library, with street signs to confirm the location, going northbound. This is impossible: Fifth Avenue is southbound-only for vehicular traffic from 135th Street in Harlem to its terminus in Greenwich Village.
When they are flying to New York from Portland, the graphic/drawing of Mt. Rushmore is in North Dakota, not South Dakota. It's just outside Rapid City, South Dakota.
