- A god is stabbed in the throat quite suddenly and golden blood spills down his neck. He is then decapitated, however, the decapitation is not really visible in the camera.
- And alien creature's head gets ripped right off in front of the children with its purple blood dripping down to scare them. somewhat shocking and gross (though the creature is rather ugly and worm like)
- A woman is bloodied from battle and loses her arm (not really shown until later)
- Shadow monsters attack a village and kill and throw people around. they take all types of scary forms.

- Near the end, Jane Foster dies. The death, and the aftermath, with Jane turning into golden dust (going to Valhalla) are very sad and powerful, with the aftermath lingering quite a bit.
- Villain rips the head off of a serpent-like creature and throws it at a group of kidnapped children.
