Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A possessed character repeatedly bangs his face against a table as well as the side of a dresser. You see the impact of the face against the table and blood spatter. The same possessed character makes an attempt to pull out his own eyeball (and is almost successful). An extremely tense and unsettling scene.
  • In the opening sequence, a man is stabbed in the chest, and almost immediately afterwards, the attacker then stabs himself in the face. This is all quick without any detail shown, but still disturbing.
  • A man is stabbed in the neck with a pair of scissors, and a stream of blood pours out when the scissors are removed. Not lingered on for too long, but still disturbing.
  • A possessed character bangs his head repeatedly against the wall in a hospital bathroom. We see blood mixed with soapy water wash down the drain and on the walls. The boy proceeds to lick the pool of blood.
  • A boy bites his sister's hand then repeatedly hits the back of his head on a wall. Blood starts pouring out of his skull and it opens. Really graphic and bloody.
  • The camera shows a close-up of a woman's bloody and mutilated fingernails, but this is only imagined as the aftermath of another character trying to escape a room by vigorously scratching a door.
  • A teen woman falls into an active highway and is hit by a car. We can see her waking up as a spirit and bloody scratches all over her body with blood staining her shirt.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • You see the main character's POV as she tries the cursed hand, where sudden appearances of disfigured beings show up. They are very unsettling to look at and make for effective jump scares.
  • There's a brief vision of a young boy being groped and tormented by what seems to be evil spirits. The boy can be seen screaming in distress. The scene is short, but distressing. During this sequence, there is also an extremely brief, easy to miss shot of a woman spirit cannibalising a baby.
  • The main protagonist is haunted and tormented by a number of grotesque-looking entities that manipulate her by impersonating people in her life.
  • An injured kangaroo is seen lying on the road in pain and crying. The main character contemplates "putting it out of it's misery" but doesn't follow through with it and abandons it.
