Zakk Sabbath, the Black Sabbath tribute band fronted by guitarist-singer Zakk Wylde, have announced a new double album, Doomed Forever Forever Doomed.
The double LP arrives March 1st and will see Wylde, bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson, and drummer Joey “C” Castillo taking on two seminal ’70s Sabbath albums: 1970’s Paranoid on the first disc (“Doomed Forever”), and 1971’s Master of Reality on the second (“Forever Doomed”). It continues the band’s sequential journey through the Sabbath catalog that began with 2020’s Vertigo — a track-by-track run-through of Black Sabbath’s self-titled debut.
Doomed Forever Forever Doomed was recorded at The Black Vatican and Clear Lake Audio with engineers Jay Ruston and Adam Fuller behind the board. Wylde produced the sessions.
The album’s announcement comes a week before Zakk Sabbath hit the road for a North American tour that runs through mid-January. The trek kicks off December 5th in Sacramento, California,...

This is no mirage. This is really happening.
The summer sale is in full swing over at Vinegar Syndrome, where you can also preorder Screambox found footage freakout The Outwaters on Blu-ray, loaded with special features.
Fans of writer/director Robbie Banfitch‘s feature will want to run to grab a copy; the limited edition slipcover is already sold out!
Reminiscent of early found footage like The Blair Witch Project with an injection of Event Horizon and Gaspar Noé’s hellish Into the Void, The Outwaters, now streaming on Screambox, has been described by many as what it must be like to experience death.
The Outwaters follows a foursome who set out to make a music video in the middle of the desert, and while their trip starts out uneventful, their peace is eventually disrupted by unexplained sounds, vibrations, and unnatural animal behavior.
What happens next is a mind-bending trip...

We all die in the dark.
Reminiscent of early found footage like The Blair Witch Project with an injection of Event Horizon and Gaspar Noé’s hellish Into the Void, The Outwaters, now streaming on Screambox, has been described by many as what it must be like to experience death.
Love it or hate it, we here at Bloody Disgusting are extremely proud of Robbie Banfitch‘s film. Ambiguous, dangerous, and brutally unapologetic, The Outwaters is different in a sea of the same. We hope that horror fans turned off the lights, jacked up the volume, and allowed themselves to sink into the experience that’s nothing short of nerve-shredding.
If you haven’t yet, now is the time…

Black Sabbath are expanding their masterful Vol. 4 album, home to fan favorites “Snowblind” and “Changes,” with several discs of rarities and previously unreleased music for a super deluxe reissue, out February 12th.
The box set, which comes either in four-cd or five-lp packages, contains 20 never-before-issued outtakes, live recordings, and the original album remastered.
The bonus material includes six outtakes, including an instrumental version of “Under the Sun,” all of which engineer Steven Wilson has mixed for the release. It also includes alternate takes of several songs with false starts and fly-on-the-wall studio dialogue.

Since his earliest days playing music, Eddie Van Halen was a Black Sabbath fan. “We played just about every Black Sabbath song,” he once recalled in a Guitar World interview, looking back to a time when he wanted to name his band “Rat Salad,” after a Sabbath song title. “I used to sing lead on every Black Sabbath song we did — things like ‘Into the Void,’ ‘Paranoid,’ and ‘Lord of This World.'” So when Van Halen got the opportunity to open for Black Sabbath in 1978, Ed was ready. So were Black Sabbath.

The Flash season 6 has finally concluded its run. It was a few episodes earlier than we had expected or hopes, thanks to a Covid-19 related production shutdown, but it still managed to be the best overall season of the show in years.
Whether it was Barry’s sharp new Flash costume, new showrunner Eric Wallace, the way the series was rocked by the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths, the way this season is put the women of Team Flash and the Central City Citizen front and center, or just the most compelling villains we’ve seen since season three, The Flash Season 6 was a winner.

Godspeed is coming. Again. In fact, it’s possible he’s been around a lot more than we even know.
The visually striking evil speedster was first introduced last year, in an episode titled (appropriately enough) “Godspeed.” Coincidentally, that was also the 18th episode of the season, just as “Pay the Piper,” his next appearance on The Flash is this year. Still, the version of the character we’ve so far seen on TV hasn’t really lined up with the one from the comics…yet.
The first Godspeed (the one we met last year) was August Heart (just as his name was in the comics). However, he was the August Heart of 2049, and his origin story was considerably different than the comic book source material, and instead set her up as a crucial piece of Nora Allen’s superheroic origin story. The character appeared again in the opening moments of “Into the Void,...
