- As the title implies, Luigi notices that something is wrong with Meggy and tries to figure out what it could be.
- Still haunted by the events that unfolded on Anime island a moth prior, Meggy is coping by building a tree house, until she is disturbed by Luigi, who soon brings Mario into the mix to ask him for help understanding what's wrong with her. Mario then shakes the tree house until it falls down with Meggy still in it, and when she gets back up Mario asks her if everything's okay. Meggy then chases Mario and Luigi through the castle, until they manage to briefly barricade a door, where Luigi remarks that "she must be really upset". Mario points out in response that she'd usually manage to get the two of them by now. Further conversation is put on hold when Meggy breaks through one of the doors and grabs Mario by the neck and drags him behind the door after he got too close. Luigi then runs up the stairwell, where he finds Tari playing Dark Souls. Before he can receive any proper help, however, Meggy busts through the door and lunges at the two of them, stopping only when she sees Tari's rubber duck. Meggy then starts giving Tari all of the money she has on her, while Mario descends down the staircase and joins the group. Luigi finally puts it all together and says that he thinks he's figured out why Meggy is acting the way she is. He says, "It's been one month since..." Tari also grasps what Luigi means, but Mario doesn't. When Mario asks what it is, Tari mournfully spells it out for him, "Since Desti..." Now knowing this, Mario remembers something else that had happened to him and Meggy the day prior, when they went out shopping together and Meggy saw a hoodie with the exact same design as the one Desti always wore. After the flashback ends, Luigi tells Meggy that they understand why she's upset. Tari then tells her that "It's okay to be sad. You don't have to keep acting like this". Mario then jumps in too, telling her, "You should never bottle up your emotions". In response to hearing all of this, Meggy gets briefly angry again before ultimately calming down and crying as she says, "I miss her...". She then runs off, and Luigi tells the others to give her a moment first. Mario and the others then visit Meggy at her house, where she is still in mourning. As the others comfort her, she points out that she has been so sad that she has had no motivation to do anything regarding Splatfest. Tari then hugs her, after which Luigi says that they honor her sacrifice by living their lives as best as they can. Mario adds that he now eats an extra plate of spaghetti at dinner in her memory, at which Meggy starts laughing. After being given further motivation, Mario asks her how she is going to live her life to the fullest, to which Meggy responds by looking at a picture of Desti before standing up and saying, "I'm going to win Splatfest!". Meggy then tells the others that they will "be on her team again", and that she "will put them through her hardest training regime yet". The episode ends with Meggy dragging the others outside to train, even though Mario points out that the next Splatfest is a long time from now, and after they leave the camera zooms in on the picture of Desti.
