Crazy Soap!

Like any (good) soap opera this one starts rather lame and unprofessional, but suddenly it kicks and it becomes truly one of a kind.

It combines fighting dragqueens, vampires and other loonies all trying to take over the company "Von Baer Enterprises".

It is obviously hugely influenced by these Spelling-Soaps of the 80's.

Although it's so bad...you stare with pure fascination at the screen and can't leave the room for just 30 seconds.

Once you sat through this you'll never forget it.

At it's best you had to see it, it was the talk of the town.

Once you're in it you can't let loose...

This is the most over the top soap I've ever seen. It's very low budget and although you know it's terrible you're fascinated at the same time. Once you're in it you can't let loose. Rich and Scary is based on these big soaps we know from our childhood but it completely turns them upside down with a dragqueen as the evil bitch and a very funny private detective who tries to figure out what's going on behind her back. Actually it's filmed in very good locations which makes it all even more absurd, imagine dragqueens having tea in a hotelsuite while trying to reach world-domination...yes this pretty much sums it up!. Actually it's a little bit like Fassbinder with it's alluring amateurish charm..

Oh my God! I was absolutely hooked to this on local television.

It starts rather terrible but later on they include real actors and combine them with these crazy people to an unbelievable effect.

I remember cheering at the tube with my friends.

This was huge in the gay and lesbian scene.

It ran a little out of focus later with drastic sexual content just to find new and unexplored provocation but at it's peak it was hilarious like Trannies doing Dynasty...you can imagine the rest..

I never thought I see this again.
