Wonderful inspiring story
jjcremin-15 September 2007
I saw this 47 minute documentary last night at the Fine Arts Theatre. A lot of information was packed in so even though it moved quickly, I felt like this was a watching a work a lot longer.

Justin, a deaf man, made history of being the first in Oklahoma to successfully received two cochlear implants and the camera(s) were present to record the first tests when his ears were turned "on". His being able to hear his dad's voice that day was quite an experience.

Previous to this, we got a good introduction of Justin, his problems of being deaf in a hearing society and the problems he had with his mom and stepdad, though we do see them present on that special day. However, he couldn't have asked for a more kinder dad. I do hope some reconciliation happens and human nature will run its course.

It was fun seeing the love story too of Justin and his hearing wife. Extremely touching. This documentary really pulls on the heart strings and do wish it every success.
