Floyd's tirade about Kevin Bacon and the sanctity of physical media was completely unscripted. Since Jarod Kearney's material was shot chronologically, the Director (James Couche) simply had to give him a brief explanation of the unhinged manifesto and let the actor do the rest. In the end, Kearney delivered two takes of impassioned ranting; the final film includes pieces of both.
If you wait until the end of the credits, you'll be treated to the apex of Floyd's insane monologue espousing the greatness of Kevin Bacon.
Video Sniper is the second entry in a trilogy of thriller satires. The first entry, Art of Violence, was shot several years prior. The final entry has yet to be produced.
The exterior shots of Kyle and the interior shots of Floyd were shot several months and over a hundred miles apart.
Due to bad location audio, all of Kyle's dialogue needed to be replaced via ADR.
