What's up with the foley artist?
bananaspider19 October 2020
The Foley sound effects and the voice overs are way too overbearing in this film. I found this the same way in other B films and I just can't watch them. Just use a mic when filming.

Take the stone

Warning: Spoilers
Anthony (Vitt Ray ) lives a very mundane life. Inspired by the success of his neighbor Matt (Andrew Craig ) he decides to travel to Russia to find a wife. Instead he finds a witch and must fight for his life.

Horror-comedy that was light on both. More comedy than horror. Park scene was perhaps the climax of the humor. Lots of cleavage.

Guide Sex. No swearing or nudity.

Keep going I look forward to other films

Nice movie, but this happens when Russians imitate Americans in making a movie Mystery Movie The result is like this, I didn't want to give it a bad rating because the actors put in a harmless effort to get the job done fun. The tale of an American young man travels to Russia in search of a bride, but when he meets the girl of his dreams, he must survive to return home. The movie is an hour long. Had it been on YouTube it would have been better overall I had a good time and never been bored. I wish employers good luck my rating: 4.5 / 10

Wow! Just wow...

Right, well as I stumbled upon the 2020 comedy horror titled "Scary Bride", I must admit that I was initially interested because of the movie's cover. Yeah, I did find the cover to promise something that could potentially be a fun watch.

Indeed, I hadn't even heard about the movie prior to sitting down to watch it. But the movie's cover and the fact that is a horror comedy was sufficient to win me over and sit down to watch it.

I didn't even make it halfway through before I gave up on this movie from writer Anatol Ardin and director Dan Grin. Indeed. Pretty early on it became clear that this was a bad movie. And not one of those bad movies that are so bad that they become fun and enjoyable to watch. No, "Scary Bride" was just painfully bad to sit through.

The dialogue in the movie was just horrible. It felt like writer Anatol Ardin had given a pre-schooler artistic freedom to write the dialogue to the storyline. And the fact that the characters were every bit as painful to watch didn't help much either.

Sure, the concept idea behind the script for "Scary Bride" was something that certainly had some interesting aspects to it. But it was just so poorly constructed and executed that it felt like a bad episode of an ultra low budget TV show gone horribly awry.

I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress in "Scary Bride", and that is usually something I enjoy in a movie. But given the fact that the dialogue was just so God awful bad and the characters were bland and laughable, then the actors and actresses that partook in the movie just never had a running chance.

Visually then at least the special effects department were trying. But don't expect to be blown away by a grand spectacle of make-up and special effects here.

I have zero interest in returning to watch the rest of the movie, because the storyline and characters fell completely short of providing me with any level of entertainment.

My rating of the 2020 horror comedy "Scary Bride" lands on a one out of ten stars. Sadly enough, then the movie's cover was actually the best part about this ordeal.

It's the worst movie I've ever seen, looks so lame and too way far to be professional, not scary not even funny! Just a stupid and disgusting movie.

It's a B-Movie
C0nstantine29 March 2021
So, if you're a fan of "le genre sexploitation" - this is for you. It's a proper old trashy B-movie with terrible acting and scenario. Although, the daft lines from the taxi driver made me chuckle (he earned 3 points from me for this crap).

so funny !

I was surprised how good this movie really was. Great actores, with quote worthy lines. It has a serious tone but it's actually funny and good movies references. Just entertaining and unexpected. Some of the characters are really just great. This movies should have a lot more stars. And should become a classic.

The poster is the best thing about it

Scary Bride is a lie budget horror comedy. Anthony is worried about his buddy Matt, whom he has not heard from in a few days. He hears some noise coming from Matt's apartment and decides to check it out. Anthony finds Matt with a woman and he slips on the west floor and hits his head. When he comes to, Matt tells that he watched a documentary on Russia and decided to go. Matt met Natasha over in Russia. He tries to convince Anthony to go to Russia to meet a woman like her.

Anthony finally decided to go to Russia and try his luck with the ladies. Once he gets checked into his hotel, he hits up a local bar. There he meets Nina. A local approaches Anthony and warns him not to kiss Nina, that she is a witch. Anthony disregards the locals advice and goes home to Nina's place. Unfortunately for Anthony, Nina really is a witch and she wants his testicles! She needs the parts from seven men from seven countries to devour and become immortal. Anthony must try and escape from Nina. The counter woman and the local hotel informs Anthony of a special stone that he can use to defeat Nina.

Scary Bride isn't anywhere near as exciting as the poster looks. Even at only 72 minutes the film is slow. Skip it!

Not a bad movie option....

Warning: Spoilers
While I would not go out of my way to find this movie, it is not a bad movie to watch. Along with the horror aspect there is quite a bit of comedy in it. I think if you want a good and stupid laugh, then this is definitely the right movie for you. I think my favorite part after movie is when he slaps the woman he is trying to run from with a fish.

Better than you can expect.
mironin-218 November 2020
Better than expected. People nowadays so spoiled, you start looking for films or series who got 1-5 stars just to realized there are many gems. This one not the best example of pure gem with low rating from spoiled, unhappy people: but better than I expected. Thank you

Objectively terrible, but fun if you're in the right mood
shaphan17 February 2024
I unironically enjoyed this crap movie. It's objectively bad. Bad writing, bad acting, horrendous voiceover. But if you enjoy ultra low-budget movies and the risks they can take compared to well produced, Hollywood fare, then you might like this movie. They clearly had a fun time making this movie, and they tried things a big budget movie would never risk...like sticking a fish where the sun don't shine. If you're in the mood for ultra low budget, this was a fun watch. My only nitpick was that it's trying wayyy to hard to pretend it was filmed in America, and the dubbed dialogue was nearly unforgivable. The fact that it's a Russian-made tale warning foreigners AGAINST Russian brides, makes it even more tongue-in-cheek fun. If you're in the right mood, enjoy!
