Mask singer SPOIL OFF

I have only ever guessed one right and that was lulu, her voice was so recognisable, and i was surprised that all the judges got it wrong, my favourite on this series is RHINO, he has gotta win, fab fab voice. Just wish I knew who he was. The costumes are always great, I just fi d the clues are so hard, that I try and go by their voice, that's why I only got 1 right.

My only pet hate is the judges, they scream and ruin it for everyone else, I really find this off putting and really spoils the show, when someone sings, you are supposed to Listen and try and guess who it could be, the worst culprit is davina, does my head in, all she does is scream, get her OFF.

Well done you if you managed to watch this the whole way through, absolutely dire, what we really don't need on a Saturday night is another mindless singing competition, but here we go, one that's even worse than X factor and The Voice.

The format is tired, the show and panel irritating. I'd much rather sit down and watch a drama on a Saturday evening, I imagine there's an audience for this, I won't be switching on again. Rubbish. 3/10

Family entertainment

We as a family loved this show guessing who the celebrities are the 2021 show we recently watched was the best one yet!

My 6 year old loved it even though he didn't know who the celebrities are it got him singing the songs in fact he's obsessed with the show watching it through the week even though we already watched it

We all loved it as a family especially during lockdown it's a bit of fun.

I don't mind the judges as much as other shows where the judges wind me up on the likes of X factor etc they are ok on this and Joel dommett as host he presents the show well

Everything about this show is painful, the presenter is awful, the judges are all unfunny, fake and awful and it's supposed to be a singing show but only 6 songs get sung over the 60-90 min running time. How does garbage like this end up getting made.

How someone could watch this drivel and feel like they got some form of entertainment out of it I will never know. The judges are painful, especially Ken Jeong. The show follows a simple pattern: "celebrities" talk about themselves in a pitch-altered voice, sing a song, Ken Jeong stands up and starts with "I know exactly who this is", ends his speech with "welcome to the masked singer", second "celebrity" performs, audience votes, winner is revealed after the advert break. Imagine this for 60-90 minutes. All in one sitting. Then at the end the "celebrity" reveals themself. It's the definition of mind numbing.

I really try to give it a go. It's just so fake with emotions from the panel. Also the host with the fakest teeth is so annoying with his camp body language.

I can see your voice is far superior to this effort.

The only good thing was that we recorded it (to see what all the fuss was about) so we could fast forward through alot of it. Even reducing watching time to 15 mins-ish it was a close run thing as far as seeing it through to the end. Stupid waste of money.

Some of the reviewers clearly don't understand the concept and are unappreciative of the talent and efforts that go in to this show. Clearly people are not patient and having fun putting clues together over weeks and are desparate to find out now, straight away. Just relax, join in and enjoy or tune in to something else and leave the fun entertainment alone.

The worse ITV concept in ages

This, quite simply, was absolute rubbish, and how ITV can justify putting it on at peak time on a Saturday night is beyond me.

Just because a format is a success elsewhere doesn't mean to say it will be here.

It became almost laughable that the panel thought big A list celebs would be in the costumes, when the best we ended up with was Patsy Palmer.

The panel were all annoying, the host just looked bemused by everything.

I don't think we are living in a golden age of Saturday night TV, but this sets the bar that little bit lower.

X-Factor meets It's a Knockout (for those old enough to remember the latter)

Prime-Time TV talent shows have become so dull in recent years. Tired of the same old format? Well give this a go.

It's bonkers for sure, and the singing is variable, but it has had me hooked trying to guess who was behind the masks, and rooting for certain contestants. I can't wait for the next one.

Those looking for something high-brow look elsewhere, but if you want an hour fun on a Saturday evening I don't think you can go too far wrong.

Can't watch due to Rita Ora

What absolute gall that woman has to show her face on TV after breaking rules so blatantly. This show is for CBBC anyway, the constant switching to the panel is pathetic. It's supposed to have bonified singers on it, not a burnt out old footballer and Lenny Henry. I despair of this country.

Excellent entertaining captivating programme

I found the UK Masked Singer to be an excellent entertaining programme and a massive improvement over the stale X Factor Celebritaries which only has 2 million viewers , while the Masked Singer made 8 million and 6 million on the final.

Ok.some like the fprmer MP as pharaoh and the Eastenders actress were not professional singers that was obvious, others like Unicorn Hedgehog, Queen Bee, Fox, Octopus and Monster were excellent singers.

It was shamtzey but captivaying to try and guess the identity.

Childishly stupid.

I've seen many many stupid tv shows during my time but seriously a kids guessing game on Saturday night tv?!!! This makes Noel's house party with Mr Blobby look superior. Put it on CITV because that's where it belongs. Not recommended for those who actually have a life.

A unique concept, but yet another boring singing contest

The Masked Singer is quite a unique concept, celebrities in daft outfits like bird suits and doctored speaking vloices, sing a popular hit and the judges have to guess who the singer is. Obviously a new spin on singing contests and fair play to ITV for finding something different that has reasonable viewing figures, but yet another long drawn out singing contest with a celebrity panel and second rate celebs as contestants. Can't they find something other than singing and zelebs to fill Saturday nights as these shows have become overkilled and tedious.

A brilliant feel good family show.

Amazing show for all the family to enjoy, it has to be one of the best shows on the TV a show for everyone to play along with and guess who is that behind the mask. I absolutely love it and you have some really big reavels like Ne-yo, Joss Stone, Charlotte Church, Lenny Henry, Kelis, Michael Owen and Lulu to name a few. It's a really good programme to get stuck into you can play with your friends through social media you can post about it on twitter or Facebook its a feel good show, I really hope we have a lot more seires of it because it's just such a feel good family show, all the costumes are great and so much detail and effort is put into them I can't wait to carry on guessing who is behind the mask.

After a long week of work at the sewage farm where i work 80+ hours per week, there is nothing i like better than to relax and switch off and watch this pile of online crap, its like a busmans holiday for me watching the masked singer. but i dont get paid for watching this kind of crap on telly.

The worst tv show I've ever seen

Saturday night tv has hit rock bottom with this absolute pile of garbage. My 5 year old son pleaded to me put this on as he liked the costumes the contestants wore. Which is fair enough, he's only 5. As I sat and watched in pure horror of how bad this show is I couldn't believe what I was watching. The presenter is horrible, not funny and his teeth are blinding me. The judges are pathetic too, they guess top celebrities constantly. Are they joking? Anyone with a Brain cell wouldn't be near this. You have to sit through 6 different garbage performances to find out the revelation of some nobody.

About what you'd expect from staged singing contest

Judges pretend to not know who the singer is to artificially create tension, and it's super obvious. They all grew up in the 80's but somehow can't pick Morten Harket singing his own damn song as Viking? It's embarrassing. I wouldn't bother watching if I wasn't such a big fan of a-ha. ://

With the full talent of Davina behind it - we are faced with talented, & always available "stars" we have offer . Plenty of studio enhanced audiences "enjoying " witty judges and what a SHOCK !! Moments

Davina makes this show just a lot more cringing with here over false enthusiasm.

Just keeps on not giving

A major letdown after watching the US version

Where to begin? Well, first off, I really liked the US version (Everything below is compared to the superior US version).

-The costumes are not up to par (though not too bad).

-The quality singers are far and few, and the ones who are worth the while are far too easy to recognize (Cee-Lo and the brilliant Kelis).

-The judges are mostly incompetent and/or poor liars and, being British myself, their lack of humour is dissappointing. I've seen the quite so charming Joel Dommett in other stuff but here he's atrocious. Instead of funny he just comes off as someone in need of attending a theatrical course or five (he seriously sounds like he's peeing his pants half the time).

-The staging is poor and the singers don't know whether to face the audience or the judges, looks very awkward most of the time.

-As mentioned Kelis was revealed to be one of the masked singers. How she was voted off when you compare her to many of the other acts is beyond me (but then again, the whole voting system is strange with the in-house studio audience voting except for one-on-one's where the judges decide)

I'll continue watching this simply for the cringe factor but for how long I'm not sure (Seen the first 6 eps so far). I suggest people look up the US version for quality entertainment (series/season 1 & 2, -and a new S3 of that production has just started)
