good episode with talented direction more with more absurd mistakes of all
It was a good episode Melissa directed this episode very well but the special effects are in my view below but what made me sad in this episode was the part that appears lex in Brazil in the background we see the arches of the lapa that is in rio de janeiro not in São Paulo and that was the reason that left the fans of Brazil without understanding anything deserved more

This is an episode ! So awesome ! They explained many plotholes like what happened to Lex when was replaced with his Prime-ersion, how Lena was spared and Leviathan stuff etc.

Also Sun eater was dope !

It was a 6 but I'm giving it a 10 for Melissa and Melissa only.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm giving this ep 10 points only because I know how hard Melissa must have worked on it and I am so proud of her directorial debut.

You could feel her touch. The way the scenes were framed. Subtle touches that showed how well she understands the characters and cares for them. Melissa loves the show so much and you could really see it with the way the episode was directed.

The Lena/Kara scene at Catco was heartbreaking but it was so good to see these two in one room again (also that shot of Lena following Kara out while William just stands there was SO telling), even though the happiness didn't last long and they must have ruined it for the sake of this boring overdone drama. Kara's act in the Fortress was so OCC imo and I hate that it's always one step forward and 80 steps back with these two characters. The chemistry between the two actresses was out of this world, though, as always.

Can we talk about Eve because DAMN! I fall in love with Andrea Brooks more and more every time she appears on screen. I wish we could see more of her becuse the contrast between how sweet she looks and how badass she acts is just amazing!!! I just wish Eve wasn't in love with Lex. You could do so much better, girl!

The Danvers sisters + Kelly couch scene was cute but way way way WAY too short. Also, the way the two lesbians of the show are used to prop up a hetero romance no one wants to see is disgusting. Can you give Dansen their own storyline? Please!!! It's time the show remembered Alex is a regular and not a recurring character!!!

All the women looked amazing. The suits were a great choice. Some of the clothes this season, especially Kara's and Lena's, were atrocious so it's nice to see such hot looks for a change.

As much as I hate Lex and the fact that he almost monopolized the show this season, Jon Cryer was amazing, as always. Also, the wig. Wiiiiig! LMAO

I'm bitter Nia wasn't in the episode and instead we got stuck with the reporter that no one wants to see on our screens. Tell me why Nia (or Kara, the og reporter) couldn't be doing what William is doing???

Also, can we talk about the way Melissa acts in scenes with William. She is a good actress. A great one. But when it comes to these scenes it's like her soul is sucked out. It must be intentional, right? I sincerely hope this means that this "romance" won't last long because I choose to believe no one with working eyes could watch these scenes and think that's how ppl who have feelings for each other act.

Anwyas, I hope Melissa will get to direct another Supergirl episode in the future because she did a GREAT job and I can't wait for Chyler's debut!

It was amazing. My heart beat, with each scene. The director managed to show the emotion of each character with excellence. I am proud to be a fan of this wonderful series and with so many incredible actors, thanks Melissa Benoist, it was perfect. Congratulations.

Such an amazing episode!! Well done Melissa for the directing!! And the writing was really well done!! Lex Luthor is really a character I love to hate Jon just plays it soooo well!!

And the Lena and Kara scenes 👌🏼👌🏼 Perfect!! The last scene killed me with Lex getting his way once again but I know everything will be okay and they will take Lex down together!!

Can't wait for next weeks episode!!

Good direction bad writing

Nothing new same thing as always, this is getting boring. Good direction, Melissa really has a talent hopefully she does this again in the future. Also bad editing cutting scenes that where in the promos as always baiting their audience.

Director Benoist!

Wow, what an incredible directing of Melissa! I'm so happy and proud of her, such a great job. How the camera work pays out, all the visuals and the intriguing atmosphere are without doubt the best part of the episode. The acting is as always awesome.

About the plot: It's a very strong and important one, it really ties together everything. It's not a "villain of the week one" at all. It actually a very creative one. Props to the writing team! I just love small paced episodes that are filled with twists and turns. Some may called it boring but i call it creative and artistic (when it's done right). Also it is filled with a lot of details that makes this episode feel substantial.

Supergirl keeps deliver quality and i just can't wait for the next episode! An absolute 10/10 episode, Thank you Melissa.

Excellent direction work from Melissa Benoist
cmontiel-145614 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I loved the episode, I haven't like alot of the episodes lately but this one was enjoyable, Jon is a great Lex Luthor and Katie Mcgrath is back finally, I miss her. The supercorp scenes was heartbreaking and great acted, everytime they are on screen supergirl become more interesting, the chemestry those characters has is the superior in the whole serie. But where was Nia this episode? Too much Lex please we need to balance screentime between characters. We need more Lena, Kelly, Nia, we need also arc outside of DEO. We need Kara and Lena start to re building their relationship it's getting tiresome this thing. Melissa Benoist did an excellent direction and I'm glad M'gann is back.

Plot what plot
Justreviewing24 May 2020
A couple episodes away from the finale and the build up is just ... boring. The episode dragged along and the only saving grace was the few interactions with Lena and Kara. There's been too much Lex and too little plot progression. Seems like they'll try to shove all plot and solutions into the last two episodes, which means rushed finale.

It seemed like a good idea at the time...
hasansevik4 May 2020
The first few minutes of this episode were good. Actually good. For a second I thought they'd turned the corner.

The second half, though, was back to being the terribly written show it's been for 5 plus seasons. Sure, they've had a few semi decent episodes here and there, and John Cryer is an amazing addition. But honestly, this and Batwoman need a new crew to write the episodes.

I sincerely hope Stargirl is better and has learned from these mistakes.

Same old tiring narrative
rebsantos4 May 2020
William is still there ruining scenes only by showing up, Nia is forgotten aside, no good plots to Alex and Kelly, Lena and Kara are running in circles and apparently will never reconcile and now Lex is being shoved everywhere. I just saw someone on Twitter saying "this season feels like a big F* U to the fans" and that's exactly how we feel. So, Thank you so much for that, SG writers!!

Besides that, all the compliments to Melissa's direction. She was awesome.
