Coming from someone who didn't read Dune books or study the universe, the show is pretty decent. It keeps you occupied and is really intetesting, makes you want to start new episode again and again. It really has some potential to become great show. All the praise to the actors who did their jobs really good. Especially Travis Fimmel (Desmond Hart), whose carisma is really exeptional, he has shown more then once that he's capable of carrying the show (from long monolouges to not saying anything at all) and with careful writing (keeping to switch focuses on other characters too), it can be used so well. Also, big clap for Sarah-Sophie Boussnina (princess Ynez), she is succeeding to make her character really interesting. I hope they both get more character development and story in the next season bacause I believe they can make it really good. Also I hope they switch the focus from only Harkonnen sisters to some other characters (maybe even adding some new characters) because, as much as they also did their role well (especially young versions of them) I feel that their story of 'being the wolves' is kind of getting boring. The end of season was really good and I loved how they made sisters character development. But I look forward to seeing other characters stories and hopefully, indroducing some new ones as well, because - aren't there plety of families and plenty of planets? Plety of material to go on, just fingers crossed for good writing.
