I think the movie is a bit overrated here in Vietnam. Like other typical Korean family movies, Romang has its bright happy scenes concentrated at the beginning and dotted throughout, but as the story goes, it reveals plots that got the audiences go totally quiet at times and weep their tears in silence (my mom and I included). However, there's nothing new or too exciting or unique about the script that got me deeply thinking about or left any strong impressions on my mind afterwards. I guess I'd set a too high expectation for it which mainly contributed to my disappointment after all. Anyhow, it's still an enjoyable movie with some touching scenes making it a good choice for any family's hangout.
