Mission Over Mars is simply superb!

First of all Mission Over Mars is totally different from Mission Mangal in many aspects and somehow better than the film. Sakshi Tanwar, Nidhi Singh and Ashish Vidyarthi have delivered brilliant performances. Dialogues are superb, story is also nicely described, direction is good, editing is also good but screenplay was poor. The season finale episode was BEST. Overall Mission Over Mars is worth watching!

Better than the film version

The serials aired in Dooradarshan in comparison to the soaps that aired in today's channels were quite ahead of its time, considering the content and talent involved in creating it. Unfortunately it was disrupted and went into ruin and the credit for it should be given to Ekta Kapoor. When she started ALT Balaji i had similar apprehension in watching its shows. To my surprise ALT Balaji produced, Mission Over Mars is quite an engaging watch and i would rate it better than its cinematic counterpart, Mission Mangal, which was more about kitchen politics rather than disclosing the technical aspects of the mission. Even though the trademark of an Ekta Kapoor serial is seen in small doses but it can be written off over the way in which the entire serial is presented & the credit for it should be given to its director, Vinay Waikul, who rather resorting on cliches worked succeeded in showcasing the scientific and technical aspects of the mission. In terms of performance, among the four protagonist the veteran Sakshi Tanwar made the most of out of the role. The only negative aspect of the series was the parts involving Mona Singh and her family which made it the most irritating aspect of the series. Among the supporting actors Ashish Vidyarthi was a surprise and was quite unusual to see him enact a positive roles as in the past he has mainly acted in the villainous roles.

On the whole it is a well produced series and can be watched over its cinematic counterpart which was possible due to the performance of its actors and its effective direction.

The screenplay is very interesting and keeps you hooked to your seat. The series also has its fair share of comedy and emotions and there are many instances which will touch your heart!

Terrific webseries !! Very well Directed by Vinay Waikul (THE TEST CASE Fame ) show never loose it's grip throughout. Waikul has done an excellent job in writing the script with Sambit mishra. Screenplay is very realistic and believable. It tells you the story four women scientists in their Mission over Mars and their lives and problems they face in day to life. All actors have performed beautifully, specially Sakshi Tanwar, Mona Sing and Ashish Vidyarthi. Other cast is also very good. Lot credit goes to Ekta Kapoor as a creator of this show. Once again she has shown us that she can create shows like 'The test case' and 'Bose'. Cinematography is top notch as well as editing. This webseries has came within a month of release of 'MISSON MANGAL'. And yet this show has managed to surpass Akshay Kumar movie by a good margin. Go watch this .. you will love it !!

Ekta kapoor just ruined the original mangalyan misson.They are said they will portrait true story of behind the mission.I have just watched 5 episodes which got released and still trying to figure out where the heck the truth is... I thought movie didn't show us the original story so might be web series can do this for us.. Trailer looked promising but episodes are completely disappointing......

I watched 1st episode of the series without and expectations but surprisingly I was hooked from the 1st minute. A must watch series made on superb efforts of India space scientists.

Really nice series which everyone should definitely watch. No unnecessary drama as was shown in the film. Mission mangal film was a complete flop out of sync movie. Technicalities were not shown in the movie but in this series each small point is taken care of. Movie was full of drama queens and street dualogues but in this series no unnecessary scenes instead they focussed on the real issues ISRO faced. Everyone acted superb in this series. Outstanding performance by the four ladies in this series unlike fake acting in the movie. I was too much dissapointed with the movie which was like a comic film but this series was to the point which made it an outstanding series. Thanks Alt Balaji and Zee5.

The rise of web series in India is like a blessing to the entertainment industry. So many good contents available across all the streaming apps. Among all, the winner for me is Mission Over Mars which is available in Zee5 and Alt Balaji. Looking at the performance of each actor, it's obvious that it's a perfect casting. Thankfully it's not a usual shop opera but a mini series with nice pace and nice editing. Most importantly, it's about the pride of our nation and ISRO. I.e. Mission to Mars with limited resources and budget. Kudos to Vinay Waikul and the writers.

A Drama that makes space for the saree...

'Mission Over Mars': a manipulative title almost suggesting what's to come. The main intent of the makers is to repeat its motives: it is establishing the roles of the general Indian moms in making this 'MOM' successful. So ALT Balaji bends the tube and almost breaks it by making 'Mars Orbiter Mission', 'Mission Over Mars'. But who cares? After all, its MOM's show all the way! But never mistake MOM as a soap-operatic version of true events. Ir don't draw in those similarities between 'Mission Mangal' and this series. Because the feature film was a nationalistic film which focused on hitting right the emotional buttons. But this series comes off as a different one. It lays more emphasis on the women behind the mission: it comes altogether with another set of four women: they have another set of stories. And, there are more real conversations and there are people who are actually discussing the pros and cons behind the mission and a mother who is actually worried about the possible outcome of each and every stage of this mission. But the narrative lacks the adrenalin rush, the heft of drama, the right kind of emotional consistency or a genuine comical talent which made 'Mission Mangal' soar in style and bask in substance. The characters aren't rooted enough and the series is too long and silly to BE so. It also borrows the incredible silly matter of writing of male characters from the film. But it is also a harmless watch that, if not anything, if extremely unpromising, is still a feminist take on a space mission where frequently the political ambitions of the men have been splattered and a jingoistic overdrive which we always want to avoid. Not perfect, but knows where the highs and lows lie.

Engrossing, gripping & compels you to root for the team. Catchy lines, great character sketches, internal politics showed in a realistic manner. Love the ladies & Ashish Vidyarthi. Must watch.

I watched this show having seen the extremely high ratings on imbd. I don't now how this is getting 9/10 or 10/10, but it's not good at all. I won't be watching the reminder of episodes as it's not worth my time. People have clearly been posting disingenuous reviews

What can you expect from the melodrama and bogus queen - Ekta Kapoor!...Though after all these years I thought that atleast I should give her a chance and see this web series which has a potential of being a great story of those women who are professional scientists with acumen and clarity and did bring laurels to the country!

But Ekta ji totally messed up the series with her trademark touch! Too much melodrama, more politics than science, no proper character development! Though the actresses have proven their potential in the industry, every one of them have been reduced to a caricature version of a scientist! There motivations and expressions are too childish at times and supposedly seem to be taken straight out from on of the Saas-Bahu type serials of Miss Kapoor!

I had better expectations, but I believe a dog's tail can never be straightened! Don't waste your time......
