Old friends, new enemies ...
bosporan21 April 2022
Both foreigners are playing with fire. Jake is treading close to Tozawa both professionally and with Misaki. Samantha manipulates Sato hard to seek the missing Polina and to support her new venture.

An interesting episode that moves the plot along nicely. Fabulous performance from Ayumi Itô (Misaki) showing both her coquettish and her hard calculating side. The ending, though heavily telegraphed, moves things forward and sets up future possibilities.

Smile!

Another solid episode as the plot and character development advance.

I like Katagiri. I like Emi. I like Sato.

I want to slap Jake. I want to see Samantha utterly destroyed.

Not solid enough !

Warning: Spoilers
An exciting ending that moves the story forward and advances the plot, Overall the episode wasn't solid enough as many unnecessary scenes takes place "the whole Tozawa birthday sequence" and few other ones but the very good acting compensates those scenes.

However I'm excited to see the finale and how the story ends.

Pointless

The stylish cinematography fails to mask the weak storytelling behind it. The episode did not move the plot forward enough, and actor performances were just enough to carry the scenes. The entire episode was boring and unnecessarily convoluted for the sake of adding pointless scenes that added nothing to the main story.
