Humour at its best with this quirky yet lovable family. There are so many laugh-out-loud moments - their antics and their quirks are endearing and hilarious - best French comedy series I have seen. Waiting for season 2

The show was really good for 2 seasons, 9/10 worthy, it was funny, entertaining and bingable, but the new 3rd season destroyed it for me. Not funny, boring and stupid. Also pretty much nothing happened though the whole season, only some non sense drama between characters that had approximetely 15 iq. If you guys care about time, i'd reccomend watching only the first seasons.

Very funny and entertaining, with great actors. The story is very captivating! French comedy at it's best! Watching it in French with English subtitles is definitely a must!

Quality, lighthearted French comedy. Doesn't take itself too seriously and keeps on giving. Loving the evolution of the storyline and hoping for a season 3. Agree about the extremely poor dubbing (in English). Watch it in French with subtitles.

If you're going in expecting a deep story and a complex plotline, this show is not for you.
But if you love light hearted comedy, this show is just for you (and me).

Avoid the American English voice overs. They are TERRIBLE. I don't know what the prerequisite is for doing voices but the voices fitting the faces of the characters on screen do not match. It makes it laughable for an entirely different reason.
I gave the new netflix french show a try.
Despite the decent acting, it's mostly boring and a disappointment.
French being my native language, i watched the original version, but i did give the english dubbed version a try out of curiosity and it's really bad.
My advice : if you speak french and you're bored, you can give this a try, otherwise steer clear of this show since both the dubbing and the captions are low quality and the show isn't that good to begin with.

This series is so hilarious, my French husband and I can't stop watching. The laughs never stop and the twists get crazier and more hilarious as the show continues. Only 6 episodes is just not fair. We just finished season 2 and I really can't wait for season 3. Viewers with low ratings are ridiculous. It's a great series with great actors and a great storyline. A must watch in French with English subtitles if needed.

It's interesting and funny. Not in the American way. Only the last episode, I didn't like some parts of it, e.g. the pissing part.
A very amusing French show - madcap but not too absurd, and never boring. Jonathan Cohen is especially good.

This show draws you in on the premise but falls flat on its awkward plot mechanics and overdone cliffhangers. I want to like it but I also want to fast forward everything. Currently on Season 2.

After funny and credible plots in the first two seasons the third is just nonsense and without humour. Well, the writers thought they were writing comedy but it's desperately bad. Should have quit after two seasons.

This show in english sub is so cool, full humor, offbeat, with fabulous actors.
Really i advice this show.
The English version is a disaster.
A great way to spend a hot summer afternoon in my a/c'd apartment. All actors were excellent and their dialog was very witty and humorous. I wish they would make more of this series.
I am tired of people criticizing the voice overs. I don't even pay attention to them any more because I'm busy reading the CC's. If you don't like vo's, watch something else. Hasta la vista.

Great acting and a really funny story. Must watch in French with English subtitles. How they mixed the French, Arabs and Jews is fantastic.
A MUST SEE!
The new series Family Business (2019) is based on a hot topic in France, a recurrent topic since one or two decades: the legalization of marijuana for therapeutic or even recreational purpose. The director Igor Gotesman worked on the excellent Love at Second Sight (2019) as scriptwriter and is also known for secondary roles in movies such as Cyrano, My Love (2018) or A Man in a Hurry (2018). And the cast of Family Business (2019) is relatively enticing, especially the actor Gérard Darmon who is pretty good. Thus, the characters are globally endearing, despite a humour with a blatant lack of finesse. 5/6 of 10.

I was very excited to watch this series with some of my favorite French actors (Jonathan Cohen, Liliane Rivière & Gerard Darmon) and saw the first 4 episodes of season 1 before I stopped watching.
First, I loved the way actors play in the series (which was the biggest fear I had for a French show). I also discovered other talented actors such as Julia Piaton and Olivier Rosemberg. It's very fluid, characters are believable and dialogues are impactful - whether they're funny or serious. I am not surprised the lead actors got nominated for awards. All 5 stars of my review go to them.
However, the scenario goes haywire. « Il part en couilles » as we say in France. The storyline shifts 6 times per episode, characters being put in unbelievable situations too fast and too often. Perhaps other people will find it enjoyable, but I was expecting something more realistic and believable than what Family Business has to offer. To me, it felt like the scenarists took shortcuts or that they tried to pack as much as they could in a very short amount of time (the episodes are quite short indeed, around 30 min). After 4 episodes of uninterrupted preposterous situations, the show lost its appeal and I didn't feel like watching it anymore.

One of the best French comedy series I've ever watched!! Didn't know Frenchies are that funny (No hate 😝) !
I believe it's better to understand French language and Judaism culture so U'll enjoy it the max!!
Very Funny with a touch of european style and european ambientation.
Not the classic USA movie, you can really see it...
Cannot wait for season 2
It's actually a pretty great show. Really funny with an atypical premise. It's only 6 episodes so stick with it. Watch it in the original french audio
