Unusual mix of comedy and body horror
bob the moo25 August 2020
As the title suggests, this is an odd film. A man asks himself what his nipples are for, and instead of it being an odd 'pub' type question, it puts him on a self-destructive path that he cannot turn from. What results is an usual mix of comedy and horror, with a decent balance between the two. It is played straight, with a lot of acceptance of what transpires - which adds to the oddity of the film. There was maybe a commentary to be had here on the way that people can take things too far, and not just think then move on - but it is better for not pushing that but instead staying onside with the character.

The direction and construct plays to the deadpan nature of it, and it works as a dark comedy while also having some painful moment too. Not a great short, but a memorably odd one.
