When Craig's new CD comes out, Ashley is upset because he doesn't credit her for writing of of the songs. She decides to perform one of her songs at the Talent Show. The crowd doesn't like it too much so Jimmy comes in and saves the performance by rapping. Ashley feels like Jimmy took the spotlight away from her. Mia tries to start something with Sav. He's okay with her having a daughter, but isn't sure he's ready for a relationship.—Shayne

When Ashley gets a chance to shine via her music, she decides to bring freestyle rapping Jimmy along for the ride. But Ashley isn't prepared for the positive reaction Jimmy receives over her, and fights against being pushed into the background like she was with Craig. Meanwhile, Mia has her sights set on Lakehurst student Sav and tries to make a great impression, despite constant (and annoying) interference from Marni J.—anon

After seeing Craig's newly released album on the shelves at the record store, Ashley decides to pursue her own music - starting with a performance at the Lakehurst-Degrassi talent mixer. She even encourages Jimmy to rap on the track she's recording... provided he does it her way. Jimmy only wants to support his girlfriend, so when her school performance goes downhill fast, he can't help but intervene. Their spontaneous duet makes the crowd go wild, and it looks like this could be the start of a lucrative musical partnership. But Ashley has her own ideas. Mia's determined to make a fresh start this semester and put the past behind her - starting with luring hot Lakehurst-transplant, Sav. Mia joins the debate team in the hopes of spending more time with the new school hunk but it turns out mean-girl Holly J Sinclair has the same idea.
