Bring Back... Dallas
jboothmillard1 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Last time he did The A-Team and One Hit Wonders, this time Justin Lee Collins tried to reunite the cast members and maybe some crew of one of the great American soap operas, Dallas. He managed to meet all the big cast members, including Mary Crosby (Kristin Shepard), Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing), Ken Kercheval (Cliff Barnes), Charlene Tilton (Lucy Ewing), Susan Howard (Donna Culver Krebbs), Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing), star Larry Hagman (J.R. Ewing), and he even meets legendary talk show host Larry King. It was really fun watching him trying to find them, and talking to them, even though they probably didn't want to, but the reunion failed. For some reason none of the cast members he talked to turned up, but the ending did have an unexpected visit from a man they were asking public to help find, Eric Farlow who played ugly baby Christopher Ewing, so for this it was a good ending, even with the fail. Very good!

Warning: Spoilers
Okay, I know it's not fashionable to talk about Bring Back... but I actually enjoyed watching Bring Back... Dallas, even though I wasn't a huge Dallas fan. Anyway, Justin Lee Collins's enthusiastic attempts to track down the cast was fun to watch, especially when tracking down Patrick Duffy when he was in a fancy London hotel for some award ceremony or something. Anyway, maybe it was the chase that was more exciting as opposed to the outcome, and in a way, maybe Bring Back... Dallas inspired the Dallas revival/reboot just a few years later, so certainly Bring Back... Dallas had some impact for sure init.
