Decent considering the budget.

Warning: Spoilers
Don't go into this expecting it to be a horror/comedy like it has been billed. It's just a straight comedy with one very cheap ghost effect for about 10 seconds. This is a found footage/mockumentary comedy about three pretty cliched characters that relies on some really dumb jokes.

There's a dumb, child-like guy who lives with his mother, doesn't realize people carry their cell phones with them everywhere and apparently can't see slides at the playground. His level of dumb is ratcheted up to the point that the jokes don't land. No one is that dumb.

There's a well-meaning, good-natured dumb guy who tags along with everything because he wants to be liked, even when he clearly shouldn't. He eats a ton of Indian food before going on the ghost hunt because he's never had it before an somehow didn't think eating all that spicy food could be bad. This sets up the next 15 minutes to be one long, extended fart joke.

Then there's the overgrown man-child dumb guy who is extremely selfish and doesn't like that his best friend has grown up and become a responsible adult. He's the kind of guy who's rude to everyone but they still hang out with him anyway.

The other guy is the long-suffering ex-best-friend who actually grew up and got a job and tried to ditch his idiot pal but agrees to go along after he's badgered into it.

The ghost hunt at the center of the movie is very short. Then there's an extended section at the end of the movie that drags on waaaaay too long.

I've seen worse writing, acting and jokes. There are a few one-liners that hit okay but get drowned out by larger unbelievable setups and scenes. The after-credits scene/outtake is one of the funnier parts of the movie and seems possibly ad-libbed. Considering this movie was made for $1,000, it's honestly not the worst.

You Gotta Bury Him First!

So three guys are operating a 'business' called Ghoul Catchers. Okay this is a fakeumentary I take it?? LOL...love the question about the creaking door.

+1 Star for Chapter 1...cracked me up a couple of times.

Chapter 2 was pretty boring really. A few laughs here and there.

Chapter 3...Franklin's Will was long and not really that funny.

-1 Star for Franklin's Will.

Really the last part of the 'movie' wasn't that funny.

But there were some laughs early on. I'll give it a 5 / 10.

And really there were really no scares at all in this. It was just all mocking.

Someone said they made this for around a thousand bucks? I can't believe they spent that much on it. Terrible.

$1000 wasted!

Really poor film that never got going. They say some American humor is lost on us Brits and it certainly was here. The mum joke at the end was about the only funny bit

Definitely detected some heavy Hot Rod vibes and some traces of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia too. Lots of laughs on a low budget. Scary good!

Well written, well acted, and at times hilarious found footage parody. Hard to believe this was made for around a thousand bucks. Well worth a watch.

A mockumentary done right!

Had me laughing throughout! Performances were brilliantly awkward, just what this kind of movie calls for. Humour will not be everyone's cup of tea but if it is, it will have you rolling. Reminded me of the mockumentary What We Do In The Shadows. They've done an awesome job with the budget and hopefully there's more to come!

Had me dying (And turning into a ghost, or ghoul. unclear which one.)

I love low budget films, and this one is a gem. Its like ghost hunters meets It's Always Sunny or The League. Some of the acting is stiff and the picture quality is grainy but this movie shines on the concept, the writing, and the overall delivery. Would love to see more from this group.

How does this not have a huge cult following?

Saw this movie pop up in suggested titles. Figured I'd give it a try and had low expectations. Holy hell was I wrong.

Mix Ghost Adventures/Grave Encounters with The Office and It's Always Sunny.

The jokes are so ridiculous, believable and good and have that repetition that never gets old where it's funny, not funny, and then absolutely hilarious.

It's a shame this only has like 50 reviews on here.

It's just funny. That's it. And a well paced, well done funny one at that. Short and sweet

"Why do you keep throwing guns on the ground?" "Because ghosts can't pick up guns".

Highly recommend.
